West Brom vs Huddersfield Betting Tips

West Brom have been quietly impressive under Slaven Bilic this season. Whilst Derby have underperformed, and Leeds have continued where they left off, WBA have gone a little under the radar. The Baggies remain the only side to avoid defeat so far this season, and only the fact that they’ve drawn four of their opening seven matches has prevented them from breaking the top two.

Their opening run of fixtures hasn’t been the easiest, although they played well against Fulham, beat Nottingham Forest and picked up a point against Derby at Pride Park. They’ll potentially be a little disappointed with just five points from a possible nine at the Hwwthornes, but a few tweaks at the back, and they should be promotion contenders.

Once again, Ahmed Hegazy will miss this tie whilst Kieran Gibbs could also be sidelined. There have been plenty of different goalscorers for the hosts so far this season with Matt Phillips, Jake Livermore and Kenneth Zohore all netting at some point whilst on-loan midfielder Grady Diangana has looked like a superb addition.

Sami Ajayi got his first goal for the club last weekend, but he has looked far from assured at the back, and WBA are yet to keep a clean sheet this campaign. Luckily, they are facing a side who are struggling to create clear-cut chances.

Huddersfield lost their first game under the Cowley Brothers, although they did dominate the possession stats. The Terriers will undoubtedly improve under the formidable duo, but this fixture looks tough. The majority of Huddersfield’s goals have come from Karlan Grant this season, and they will require the former Charlton man to at his best in this one.

They netted in each of their opening three fixtures, although they’ve subsequently found the net just once. Even if they strike in this game, they are hard to trust. They bagged the opener against Luton before the International break, but failed to capitalise and lost 2-1.

West Brom are short, so backing the Baggies and Over 1.5 Goals looks like a sensible way of approaching this one. It’s available at Evens with Coral.

It’s been an inauspicious start for Charlie Austin at West Brom although this is exactly the sort of game in which he could get off the mark. The striker is the 13/10 favourite in the anytime goalscorer market, and his record in the EFL suggests that he will start firing sooner rather than later.
