Wolves vs Torino Betting Tips
The Europa League has been kind fo Wolves so far this season but domestically, they haven’t won a match yet – drawing all three of their Premier League fixtures against Leicester, Manchester United and Burnley. Last season Burnley entered the Europa League at an early stage and they had a shocking start to the Premier League season so Wolves will be hoping it won’t affect them as badly.
Torino got their Serie A season underway at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Sassuolo, putting the defeat in the first leg of this tie behind them. Manager Walter Mazzarri will know his side need to go out on the offensive in this match given that Wolves have got three away goals. Progression looks unlikely for the Serie A side but an early goal for the visitors would make things interesting.
In the first leg, the tie was quite cagey until Moutinho’s free kick-kick was headed on by Romain Saïss and deflected in off Bremer for an own goal. That opened the game up and Wolves finished up 3-2 winners. They will not want things to be as open this time around and manager Nuno Espírito Santo will be looking to his main striker Raul Jiminez to get a goal to kill the tie.
The first of our Wolves vs Torino predictions for this game is a 2-1 win for the home side. They know a goal will leave Torino needing three to go through and that looks unlikely given the defensive displays of Wolves so far this season. If Torino to get a goal, they will need to push for more and that might leave them vulnerable to a counter-attack against the dangerous duo of Jiminez and Jota.
Talking of Jiminez, he’s going to be the man for the big occasion again here and add to the five goals he already has in the Europa League this season. The Mexican striker has been fantastic since joining the club and he’s the pick for our anytime goalscorer on Thursday’s fixture.
