FPL Fantasy Premier League Captain Tips for Gameweek 10
Last week’s gamble of Tammy Abraham didn’t pay off despite the Chelsea forward coming close on several occasions. Thankfully for anyone who opted for him, few other captaincy options delivered, with Vardy captainers being the big winners.
There was disappointment for a lot of FPL managers too because they were left with both captain and vice-captain failing to play with the likes of Mo Salah and Sergio Aguero not playing a minute in Gameweek 9. Hopefully, this week will be better for the big players and we’ve taken a look at three potential Fantasy Football Captains for Gameweek 10.
Option 1 – Sadio Mané (11.8m) vs Tottenham
Our first pick for this week is Liverpool’s Sadio Mané. The Senegalese international came close to registering against Manchester United last week but his goal was ruled out for a handball by VAR. Next up for Liverpool is a struggling Tottenham side. Spurs have kept just once clean sheet this season and have conceded an average of two goals a game in the last four. Mané has scored in every home game he has started in the league, netting five and assisting two in total. He also scored in the midweek Champions League fixture against Genk so we’re hopeful he’ll be back amongst the Premier League goals this weekend.
Option 2 – Sergio Aguero (12.2m) vs Aston Villa
The Argentine sat out Manchester City’s away win over Crystal Palace in Gameweek 9 but has scored in five of his six league starts this season. Eight goals and three assists in eight appearances is the kind of consistent form needed from a captain pick. With Aston Villa at home up next, Aguero is likely to rack up the points against a side who have conceded in each of the last four. There is always a chance that Pep will spring a surprise with his selection and Aguero did play in the Champions League in midweek, getting on the scoresheet as well.

Option 3 – Kevin de Bruyne (10.1m) vs Aston Villa
Our second Manchester City pick for FPL captain is de Bruyne. The Belgian playmaker was desperately unlucky not to register a goal or assist in Gameweek 9. He was heavily involved in City’s attacking play as he has been all season. De Bruyne is the top-scoring midfielder with two goals and nine assists from seven starts. City’s no.17 has only failed to register attacking points in one of his starts. He started the Champions League match on Tuesday and played the full 90 minutes, so hopefully, that won’t mean he is rested this weekend.
Recommended Captain for Gameweek 10
There’s little to separate the City options but we’re opting for de Bruyne on account of his superb home form.
