Champions League Betting Tips for Tonight: Goals predicted at Old Trafford & an easy win for Chelsea

Champions League betting tips

There are eight more Champions League matchday 2 fixtures tonight including Chelsea’s trip to Krasnador and Manchester United’s home tie against RB Leipzig and Fabiohas picked out his Champions League betting tip for every match.

Once again the action gets underway at 5.55pm tonight, with Krasnador vs Chelsea and Istanbul Basaksehir vs PSG, who need a win after losing to Man Utd last week. The feature match of the round is probably Juventus vs Barcelona although Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the tie having tested positive for COVID.

As always, you should use bet365 for your Champions League bets and they currently have a £100 welcome bonus as bet credits for new customers, which can be claimed here.

Lampard’s side to ease to three points

Krasnodar vs Chelsea

Chelsea -1 Handicap – 5/8 with Bet365

Chelsea got off to a reasonable start after securing a point against Sevilla in a 0-0 draw in their opening group game. If Chelsea are to progress or even stand a chance of winning the group they’ll need to win matches like this.

The Blues haven’t quite managed to marry goal-scoring a defensive solidity this season but they’re good enough to win comfortably against Krasnodar.

PSG to right the wrongs of last week

Istanbul Basaksehir vs PSG

Over 3.5 Goals – Evens with Bet365

Istanbul Basaksehir aren’t enjoying the best of seasons domestically. The Turkish side are in the bottom half of the table and looking vulnerable. This is their debut Champions League campaign and PSG are more than capable of scoring a hatful.

Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were kept quiet against Manchester United in their opening fixture but they’ll be relishing the chance to rack up some goals against Basaksehir. A heavy PSG win is likely.

Italian forward to score in Brugge

Club Brugge vs Lazio

Ciro Immobile Anytime Goalscorer – 13/10 with Bet Victor

Ciro Immobile continued his impressive form from last season with a double against Borussia Dortmund. He’s the Lazio talisman upfront and by far their most likely scorer.

Brugge have acquitted themselves well in Europe over the past two seasons. They emerged with three points away at Zenit in the opening group game and will be targeting this fixture for an unlikely chance to escape the group. Nevertheless, Immobile is likely to get on the scoresheet against the Belgians.

Superstar Haaland to bag another goal

Borussia Dortmund vs Zenit St Petersburg

Erling Haaland Anytime Goalscorer – 4/7 with Bet365

Borussia Dortmund Haaland goals

Haaland managed a consolation goal in the aforementioned Lazio game. Dortmund lost 3-1 but the Norweigian international continued firing. Zenit present a much more accommodating side having lost 2-1 to Brugge last week.

The 20-year-old has seven goals in eight games for Dortmund this campaign. Very few sides are able to keep Haaland quiet these days and Dortmund need a victory to keep their hopes of topping (or at least progressing) from this group intact.

Ukrainian side to pile misery on Ferencvaros

Ferencvaros vs Dynamo Kiev

Dynamo Kiev to Win – 13/10 with Paddy Power

Ferencvaros lost their first Champions League game to Barcelona 5-1 despite giving a good account of themselves. Despite a good attacking display at time, they were carved open on multiple occasions.

On paper, Dynamo Kiev are the stronger side and will most likely be targeting wins over the Hungarian side to take third place in the group. Ferencvaros are defensively weak by comparison and will likely fall short here.

Barca’s problems to continue on and off the pitch

Juventus vs Barcelona

Juventus to Win – 7/4 with Bet365

Things aren’t quite right at Barcelona these days. A 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico compounds the mood at the Camp Nou. They may have dispatched of Ferencvaros with ease but Juventus are an entirely different task.

The Bianchinarri may be without Cristiano Ronaldo but they are still in with a good chance of winning. Juve can take advantage of the cloud hanging over Barcelona and take the initiative in the group.

Expect goals at Old Trafford when Leipzig visit

Manchester United vs RB Leipzig

Over 2.5 Goals – 4/5 with William Hill

The 0-0 draw with Chelsea at the weekend is very much the exception to Manchester United’s season so far. Their Premier League games have been full of goals at both ends with the Red Devils not quite looking themselves thus far.

They put together an impressive 2-1 win over PSG and are likely to find a way past RB Leipzig here. Nevertheless, the German side have the tools to score against a leaky United defence and over 2.5 goals looks like value as a result.

Stalemate as Sevilla & Rennes meet in Spain

Sevilla vs Rennes

Under 2.5 Goals – 4/5 with Bet365

The opening games in this group both featured under 2.5 goals. Sevilla got underway with a 0-0 draw against Chelsea where they had opportunities to win it but had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, Rennes drew 1-1 with Kransnodar after a goalless first half. Sevilla are the stronger side on paper and are favourites for the tie but Rennes have kept things tight in their Ligue games so far this season. The Spanish side might edge it but the scoreline is unlikely to be too jarring.
