Championship Betting Tips and Predictions for Tuesday 11th February and a 10/1 Accumulator

Championship betting tips

There is another round of Championship action this week and we have taken a look at the Tuesday evening matches and picked out betting tips for each game – the fixtures include Brentford vs Leeds, Nottingham Forest vs Charlton and Swansea vs QPR.

Leeds were short priced favourites in the odds to win the Championship just a few weeks ago, but a series of bad results has seen them drift to 8/13 following West Brom’s win on Sunday. The closing pack are also homing in with just two points separating Leeds, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Brentford.

Championship Predictions

As well as a Championship prediction for each match on Tuesday night, you will see a Championship accumulator tip at the bottom selecting bets from a few of the games using the Coral bet £10 get £30 sign-up offer, meaning you can place four £10 bets for the price of one this week.

Barnsley vs Birmingham Prediction

The writing looks on the wall for Barnsley this season. They are now eight points adrift of safety after picking up just one point in their last four matches. That point came on Saturday lunchtime against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday, but it was a result that is unlikely to aid their survival cause. However, they have only lost once in their last seven home league games and that will give them some hope ahead of this game with in-form Birmingham.

The Blues are unbeaten in eight in all competitions and they’ve won two and drawn two in their last four away matches in the league. Both teams have scored in all four of those games and also in 11 of Barnsley’s last 12 at home. If you are looking for a bet of the day here, BTTS in this match might just be it.

Birmingham have recently beaten Luton and Bristol City away from home and for the first Championship betting tip of the night, I’m predicting another close away win for the Blues, winning 2-1.

Betting tip for Barnsley vs Birmingham – Both teams to score – 4/6.

What score will Barnsley vs Birmingham be? Birmingham to win 2-1 – 9/1.

Blackburn vs Hull Prediction

Blackburn lost 1-0 at home to Fulham at the weekend to put a dent in their play-off hopes. They’re now six points away from 6th placed Preston North End, and will need to put another run together to keep their challenge alive. This starts with a game against Hull this week – a side who are also looking to push for a play-off place but are currently on a terrible run that looks to have put an end to that before it really began.

Hull have not won in their last five Championship matches now and that run includes a 5-1 away defeat at Brentford and three other losses. They’ve picked up just one point.

Blackburn need to win here to keep their play-off hopes alive and even with Bradley Dack still out injured, they should get the three points against a Hull side who have been poor of late and lost their two best players in January.

The first of my betting tips for this game is Blackburn to win and you could also have a bet on a correct score prediction of a 2-1 home victory.

Who will win, Blackburn or Hull? Blackburn to win – 5/6.

What score will Blackburn vs Hull be? Blackburn to win 2-1 – 15/2.

Brentford vs Leeds Prediction

This is another really tough test for Leeds United and another match they need to win. They were beaten by promotion rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday and now face another rival in Brentford this week. The hosts have won their last two matches, winning 5-1 at Hull before a 3-2 home win against Middlesbrough at the weekend, so take themselves right into contention for automatic promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history. They have won seven of their last eight home league matches and look a decent bet to win again this week.

Leeds’ run of form is quite hard to believe – they’ve only won eight of their last 10 Championship matches (one was that 5-4 vs Birmingham). In their last five games they have lost four and failed to score in all of them. Now is the time to take Leeds on in the betting odds, as punters were rewarded by betting on Nottingham Forest at the weekend. My betting tip for this game is for Brentford to win and I’m also going for a 3-1 Brentford win.

Who will win, Brentford or Leeds? Brentford to win – 8/5.

What score will Brentford vs Leeds be? Brentford to win 3-1 – 20/1.

Nottingham Forest vs Charlton Prediction

Forest got back to winning ways with a great victory over Leeds United at the weekend and should win again on Tuesday night against Charlton. They’ve won six of their last nine league games now, drawing two and losing just the once against Birmingham City. At home, four of their last five have been wins. Sabri Lamouchi’s side are in great form and they’re just a point off the automatic promotion places now.

Charlton are at the other end of the table but they are four points ahead of Wigan who are in the final relegation place. Luton and Barnsley look down already so there is probably only one place left, and the Addicks will be hoping they can survive. I’m not expecting them to get anything out of this game though given that they’ve not won away since August 31st and have lost their last four and seven of their last eight away.

Who will win Nottingham Forest or Charlton? Nottingham Forest to win – 4/7.

What score will Nottm Forest vs Charlton be? Nottingham Forest win 3-0 – 10/1.

Swansea vs QPR Prediction

Swansea are still in with a chance of making it into the play-offs – they’re currently four points being sixth placed Preston. They threw away a 2-1 lead against Derby at the weekend to suffer a damaging 3-2 defeat to take their run to one win in five matches. Before that defeat though, they were on a good run at the Liberty Stadium and they can get back to winning ways here. They’d won three of their previous four.

QPR have lost their last four matches in all competitions now (three in the league). What’s more concerning for them going into this match is that they have lost their last five away league games. This one could be another tight and unpredictable Championship fixture but for my betting tips, I’m just edging towards a Swansea victory.

Who will win Swansea City vs QPR? Swansea to win – 21/20.

What score will Swansea vs QPR be? Swansea win 2-1 – 8/1.

Wigan vs Middlesbrough Prediction

Wigan are in desperate need of points as they’re currently in the final relegation place. They’re four points adrift of Charlton and will see this one as a game to win. The Latics had won two in a row before losing at home to Preston at the weekend, but they now face a Middlesbrough side who have not won in five league games and seven in all competitions.

Boro would have had hopes of climbing well away from the relegation battle last month when they picked up four wins in a row through December, but they’re now getting sucked back into the battle and a defeat here would take them even nearer to the bottom three. Their last two away matches have been against Brentford and Fulham which they’ve only lost by the odds goal, so they should get something from this match but might have to settle for a point.

What is the Wigan vs Middlesbrough betting tip? Both teams to score – Evens.

What score will Wigan vs Middlesbrough be? 1-1 draw – 5/1.
