Middlesbrough vs Hull Betting Odds

Despite sitting inside the bottom three and having failed to pick up three points for over two months, Middlesbrough begin the day as marginal favourites for this Sunday lunchtime tie. They can be backed at around 11/8 to secure their first maximum haul since edging past Reading on September 14th. Hull have been in decent form of late, winning three of their last four games and can be backed at 7/4 to make it four victories in five away trips. The men from Humberside are one of many wildly unpredictable Championship sides, but have plenty of attack-minded players who are likely to offer a significant threat to the Teessiders’ defence. The draw will be popular and that can be backed at 12/5 with Coral  Goals are expected in this one with Over 2.5 Goals priced at 4/5 with the majority of bookmakers whilst a slightly chunkier Evens is available for Under 2.5 Goals.

Middlesbrough vs Hull Preview

Despite some calls for a change at the top, Jonathon Woodgate remain in the hotseat at the Riverside Stadium. Steve Gibson has remained faithful to the young coach so far, although he will be wary of the relegation battle that his side have been dragged into. With Huddersfield steering themselves away from danger and Stoke likely to improve under Michael O’Neill, the Teesside outfit could be in trouble if they don’t start winning soon. They’ve managed to remain unbeaten in three of their last four matches – which is a step in the right direction, however they need to start putting three points on the board.

Injuries haven’t helped and they will be without Ryan Shotton, Rudy Gestede and George Friend for this one. However, they are gradually getting players back to full fitness with Darren Randolph and Ashley Fletcher recently returning to the fold.

Goals have been their biggest issue this season, with just 13 goals in 16 outings. However, they did score twice against QPR prior to the International Break.

Hull sit in mid-table and Grant McCann’s side have been involved in some very entertaining games so far this season. They were narrowly defeated by table toppers West Brom two weeks ago, and they’ll be aiming to bounce back from that disappointment here.

They’ve actually done fairly well away from home with a 3-3-2 record away from the KCOM so far. They have some dangerous players with the Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki being standout performers over the first couple of months. Hull have already won at the City Ground, Craven Cottage and Kennilworth Road and they will feel confident that they can dish out similar treatment on Sunday lunchtime.

Middlesbrough vs Hull Predictions

Hull put in a decent performance against WBA last time out despite not taking anything from the game. McCann’s men should be able to get something from this tie. Their only defeats have come at the Liberty and the John Smiths (vs a much-improved Huddersfield) and they should be competitive throughout. Hull Draw No Bet gives us some value at Evens with Coral.

The aforementioned Jarrod Bowen may be worth keeping on side as well. He’s scored three times on the road this campaign and is always trying his luck from distance. He can impress in front of the TV cameras yet again and is 7/4 with Betway to notch anytime.
