Millwall vs Swansea Betting Tips

Millwall are extremely hard to beat on their own patch and they’ve been defeated in just one of their last 17 home matches under Neil Harris. The Lions haven’t been at their best recently but a return to the Den should do the trick. A last gasp win against League One Plymouth in midweek should help build some confidence and they will be tough to break down as always. They’ve drawn 2-2 with Middlesbrough and beaten Derby 2-1 with all four of their strikes coming in the first half. They will start quickly and Swansea must be on high alert. Graham Potter’s side have also started well this season and they have also been difficult to beat. They’ve overcome Sheffield United at Bramall Lane and despite not having a shot on target against Birmingham, they managed to walk away with a point. Swansea are now winless in three and this is far from the ideal fixture for the young Welsh outfit. I would normally be backing Millwall but they are struggling to keep clean sheets and the visitors have a knack of picking up points. The draw seems like a sensible option and can be backed at 23/10 with William Hill. It is the first of our Millwall vs Swansea predictions.

Millwall’s defence was extremely robust last season and they kept 10 clean sheets in 23 home matches but they’ve started off with a tough set of fixtures and they’ve let in some sloppy goals. They are coming here off the back of successive league defeats and they could be liable to concede. Swansea rarely threatened against Birmingham but they do carry a threat and there is every possibility that they could get on the score-sheet here. Graham Potter will have been working hard on giving his side a more attacking edge and it could pay off here. Both Teams to Score? Yes is the third of our Millwall vs Swansea predictions and is available at 5/6 with 888Sport.

Lee Gregory is a regular goalscorer for Millwall and he netted in midweek but it could be worth taking a chance on Tom Bradshaw. The striker signed on loan from Barnsley last week and looked extremely lively during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Rotherham. He does know how to score goals at this level and he will be determined to get off the mark for his new club and endear himself to his new fans. Despite Barnsley’s relegation, he still managed to net 12 times last season and is 2/1 with Betfred to score anytime in this fixture.

Millwall vs Swansea Betting Preview

Millwall have been installed as the favourites which is understandable considering their excellent home record. Neil Harris has expressed his desire to get back to basics for this fixture and his side can be backed at 23/20 with Boylesports. Swansea started well but they’ve dropped off lately and will be desperate to get back to winning ways. Anyone thinking of backing them can get a price of 12/5. It’s 11/5 for the game to end all-square.

Swansea’s dogged resistance earned them a point against Birmingham but it was completely undeserved and they also failed to hit the target against Bristol City last weekend. Under 2.5 Goals could be a popular option in this fixture and is backable at 7/10 whilst it’s 11/10 for Overs.

George Saville is Millwall’s only absentee although Neil Harris may opt to make a number of changes for this game. Our anytime goalscorer pick Tom Bradshaw could be given a start whilst Tom Elliott also looked lively in midweek and could feature in some capacity.

Jay Fulton has broken his hand and won’t feature in this game whilst long-term absentee Wilfried Bony remains sidelined. Olivier McBurnie is a doubt for the visitors and Swansea will lack his goal-scoring threat. Joel Asoro looks set to continue his run in the side and can be backed at 9/1 to score the first goal of the game.
