Reasons for Our Nottingham Forest vs Birmingham Predictions

Today’s football predictions begin with a home win at the City Ground. Forest remain unbeaten so far this season although they’ve only picked up six points from a possible twelve. Aitor Karanka’s side look difficult to beat but they haven’t been converting their chances. The Tricky Trees have beaten Reading here and drawn with West Brom and this should be fairly straightforward for the hosts. They average around ten shots per match and that should be enough for them to sneak this one. Birmingham were extremely disappointed to lose at Bolton in midweek and it’s a quick turnaround for the Blues whereas the home side should be well-rested. Gary Monk’s side haven’t found the back of the net since the opening day of the season and although their defence hasn’t disgraced itself, their lack of potency is a huge worry for Bluenoses. Karanka has overseen just one defeat in nine matches and his side have dispatched of Birmingham in their last two meetings here and this should follow form. The first of our Nottingham Forest vs Birmingham predictions is Nottingham Forest to Win and they can be backed at 5/6 with Betfred.

Whilst Birmingham take more shots on average than their opponents, their accuracy is poor. They’ve failed to score in three of their four matches this season and Forest look relatively solid at the back. Aitor Karanka’s side are always built on solid foundations and they should be able to keep the Blues at bay here. Brum wasted chance after chance against Swansea and they must start taking their opportunities. It could be a low-scoring game and Both Teams to Score? No looks a decent option at 17/20 with Ladbrokes.

Lewis Grabban takes the lion share of the anytime goalscorer market but we prefer to side with Matty Cash who has enjoyed a profitable start to the season. The Slough-born attacking midfielder didn’t feature on the opening weekend but he’s netted two in three since coming back into the side and he’s one to watch here. As a result of his position, he is a decent price and can be backed at 4/1 with Bet365 to score at any point during the 90 minutes. He had a mixed season last year but one his two Championship goals came against this opposition.
