Norwich vs Sheffield United Predictions and Betting Tips: Championship Preview

Norwich betting tips

Norwich vs Sheffield United predictions and betting tips for this Championship fixture on Saturday 26th January with an anytime goalscorer tip and goals prediction included.

Norwich got back on track last weekend with a comfortable 3-1 victory over mid-table Birmingham and they continue to display their promotion credentials. They’ll be looking to take a huge leap forward when they host Sheffield United at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon. The Blades were defeated by Swansea last weekend despite putting in a solid performance. Can Chris Wilder’s men bounce back from that disappointment? See our Norwich vs Sheffield United predictions below.

Norwich vs Sheffield United Predictions

This is the first time that Sheffield United have travelled to face another side in the top four this season and the Blades have some tough fixtures ahead. The Blades were the better side in the first half last week against Swansea but they were undone by a superb second half performance from Graham Potter’s men. Chris Wilder had very few complaints but he has spoken about their need to be more clinical in the final third. The South Yorkshire outfit are creating plenty of chances and they are likely to continue that trend here. Norwich have been very entertaining to watch recently but there was an air of professionalism about their 3-1 victory over Birmingham. The Canaries had got the job done in the first half and they managed to close out the match effectively. That will be music to the ears of Daniel Farke and his coaching staff and they will fancy their chances of getting something from this match.

Despite that performance last Friday, Norwich have won just two of their last seven games and I think they may have to settle for another point here. Draw is the first of our Norwich vs Sheffield United predictions for Saturday afternoon.

Norwich vs Sheffield United Anytime Goalscorer Tips

It may be a boring selection but Teemu Pukki is very hard to ignore. He netted the opener for his side last weekend before his less prolific team-mates put some gloss on the score-line. The Finn is enjoying life in East Anglia and he’s acknowledged that his fitness levels are extremely high. He’s getting into the scoring positions and is in competition for the Championship Golden Boot. He’s netted 20 times in all competitions and it’s difficult to see him stopping now.

Pukki should get plenty of chances and he’s a guaranteed starter under Daniel Farke. He’s definitely a good bet to score anytime in this game and he is the second of our Norwich vs Sheffield United predictions for Saturday afternoon.

Norwich vs Sheffield United Under/Over Predictions

I’m not what it’s been like to be a Norwich fan this season but it’s been excellent from a neutral’s perspective. Their last six consecutive home matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals land and it’s also paid out in 64% of their matches here at Carrow Road. They’ve been hugely entertaining to watch and although fans would probably prefer some defensive stability, it’s been a delight to watch them move forward and create clear-cut chances.

Sheffield United’s games haven’t been quite as free-scoring although 57% of their matches have featured three or more goals. With all these stats pointing us towards goals, Over 2.5 Goals looks like the obvious pick. It would have landed in their meeting at Bramall Lane earlier in the campaign and it also would have paid out in six of Norwich’s seven meetings here with top-half opposition.

Over 2.5 Goals is the third of our Norwich vs Sheffield United betting tips.

Norwich vs Sheffield United Betting Preview

Norwich can be backed at 7/5 for yet another home win. They’ve been a little inconsistent of late but they did get back to winning ways last weekend. Sheffield United will be desperate to atone for their recent defeat in South Wales and they can be backed at 9/5. The first of our betting tips – Draw is available at 5/2.

The Canaries don’t keep many clean sheets but haven’t been helped by defensive disruption and it’s 4/6 for Both Teams to Score? Yes.

Teemu Pukki is available at 9/2 to score the first goal of the game and he is narrowly ahead of Jordan Rhodes and Billy Sharp who are both priced at 11/2 to break the deadlock.
