Burnley vs Man City Prediction: Burnley 0-2 Man City

Even though City are losing their grasp on their Premier League crown, I do expect them to win this match a Turf Moor. Burnley have been indifferent this season and their 2-0 home loss against Crystal Palace on Saturday was disappointing. They have recently beaten West Ham 3-0 though and have also beaten Norwich City and Everton at home. However, Pep’s side usually reacts well to a poor result and I’m expecting exactly that here. That’s why I’m going for a correct score prediction of Burnley 0-2 Man City for my Burnley vs Man City prediction in this game.

Manchester City fell further behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race at the weekend when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Newcastle. That has left them 11 points behind the Reds and two points behind second-placed Leicester City. Even though we are not even half way through the season, you have to feel that Pep Guardiola’s side are losing their grip on the Premier League title already.

Burnley suffered a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend and they’ll want to bounce back from that loss, but this will be a tough match for Sean Dyche’s side even taking into account City’s patchy form.

Even though City were held against Newcastle on Saturday lunchtime, I’m predicting they will bounce back here to close the gap on Liverpool and Leicester at the top of the table, even if it is only for 24 hours.

Burnley vs Man City Betting Tip: Sterling to score anytime

With Sergio Aguero out injured, Gabriel Jesus started against Newcastle on Saturday but he failed to score. Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne got the goals and I’m expecting both of these players to start the match at Turf Moor on Tuesday night, live on Amazon Prime which you can get a free trial of here.

Sterling could even be deployed as a central striker if Pep Guardiola wishes and that makes it even more likely he will get on the scoresheet.

Sterling has already scored eight Premier League goals this season and I’m betting on him to get another goal against Burnley this week.

Fantasy Football Advice: Burnley vs Manchester City

Burnley have a tough run of fixtures coming up so it might be time to transfer out Nick Pope.

Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes started the season well but they haven’t picked up many Fantays Football points in recent weeks, particularly Barnes.

Raheem Sterling would be a good choice for your FPL captain this week, as would Kevin De Bruyne, both scored in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle.

A lack of clean sheets means I would advise against any Man City defenders in your team.

Gabriel Jesus is set to get a run of matches and looks a decent option for replacing the injured Tammy Abraham.
