Man City betting tips

Manchester City vs Bournemouth predictions and betting tips for this weekend’s Premier League fixture at the Etihad. The champions are massive favourites for this one but Bournemouth are having a good season of their own – October aside.

City are yet to drop a point at home so far.

They come into this one off the back of a 2-2 draw against Lyon in France.

Bournemouth have lost their last three on the bounce.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

This will undoubtedly be Bournemouth’s toughest away game of the season with surely even Eddie Howe fearing the worst ahead of his side’s visit to Manchester. City are one of just two teams still unbeaten in the Premier League and there’s a very real likelihood of them sweeping aside their weekend opponents given the latter’s struggles of late. City have scored 40 times already and you’d arguably pinpoint this fixture as being one in which they could significantly increase that tally. For me, a home win is a forgone conclusion in this Premier League match unless something goes drastically wrong for Pep’s men but you can’t point out any logical reason why that might be the case. There’s certainly not much value in backing City outright, so why not couple a routine home victory with an over 3.5 goal permutation? Ladbrokes go 4/5 on this market which at close to even money looks a potential diamond if the Sky Blues are on song.

There were many who questioned the logic of spending in excess of £50million on ex-Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez, with observers quick to point out the multitude of attacking talents already at the club. To some extent, they have a point, but the Algerian has been featuring in the starting lineup with greater regularity in recent weeks and tangibly contributing while doing so. Mahrez played against Lyon in midweek and could cause the Bournemouth defence a real problem if he retains his place in the XI this weekend. Betway make him a 6/4 shot to score at anytime on Saturday which shouldn’t be hastily overlooked.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth Preview

City will win at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Next. Okay, let’s go a little bit deeper than that! Guardiola’s men may not quite appear the finished article in European terms but domestically, they are without doubt the team to stop. An impeccable home record should and will make this a daunting proposition for any visitor – particularly those who haven’t taken any points in their last three outings.

We know Bournemouth are an okay if not decent side nowadays but they’ll have to be at their absolute best to even scrape a draw here – and recent evidence indicates they’re a little way off establishing that kind of form just yet.

Manchester City

There looks like there is no stopping Manchester City this season (unless you’re Lyon in the Champions League). Pep Guardiola has got his team playing more mesmerising football and the likes of Mahrez and Raheem Sterling are still improving under Pep. They are dominant in home games as illustrated against the likes of Manchester United and Southampton and their away form isn’t bad either. Smashed West Ham 4-0 last weekend with Sterling once again being the catalyst.

AFC Bournemouth

Jefferson Lerma scored a sensational own goal against Arsenal last weekend so he’ll need to put that behind him. That made it three losses on the bounce for Eddie Howe’s side and he’ll want to stop that rot, but City probably isn’t the place to do it. Howe should have a full squad to pick from aside from liong term absentee Adam Smith and he’ll need the likes of Callum Wilson to be at their best if Bournemouth are to get anything from this Premier League fixture.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth Correct Score Prediction

Let’s not beat around the bush – I think City could dish out another of their customary thrashings when they entertain Bournemouth this weekend. That’s not be disparaging of Eddie Howe and the job he continues to do, but more of a reflection of the kind of team their illustrious hosts are these days.

A 4-0 City win certainly doesn’t look beyond the realms of possibility – far from it – with Bet365 going 8s on this correct score selection.
