Top 3 Premier League Betting Tips from this Weekend’s 3pm Kick-offs

Premier League betting tips

The Premier League fixtures return this weekend and I am looking to pick out the best three betting tips for the Saturday matches. There are only five games due to the Europa League taking place so we’re limited with the matches to choose from.

Two of my bets are coming from the 3pm kick-offs and the final selection comes from the 5.30pm match between Newcastle and Brighton. There will also be the odds for the treble incase you want to back all three tips in a little roll-up bet.

Burnley vs Norwich Betting Tip

The first pick for Saturday comes from Burnley vs Norwich and given how Norwich performed in beating Manchester City last weekend, this could be an entertaining watch. Burnley have only won once all season and that was a 3-0 win on the opening weekend against Southampton. Since then they’ve picked up just two points (against Wolves and Brighton). Back on home soil they should improve on recent performances.

Norwich were on cloud nine after beating Champions Manchester City last weekend, but now they need to get back to business in this tricky away fixture. The Canaries lost 2-0 at West Ham last time out and were also soundly beaten in their first game of the season at Anfield. Daniel Farke’s side got plenty of plaudits for how they went about beating Man City, pressing high and passing out from the back. I’m not sure they will have as much luck against this Burnley side who will look to bypass the Norwich press with long balls to Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes. However, Pukki is one of the form players in the Premier League so the first betting tip for this weekend’s fixtures is both teams to score in Burnley v Norwich.

Everton vs Sheffield United Betting Tip

The second Premier League prediction for this weekend comes from Goodison Park, where Everton manager Marco Silva will demand an improved performance after yet another shocking away display against Bournemouth last weekend. Silva still insists on the same 4-2-3-1 formation even though it clearly doesn’t work away from home, but back on home soil the Toffees will expect to beat newly promoted Sheffield United. They have beaten Wolves 3-2 and Watford 1-0 at home already this season.

Sheffield United have made a decent start to life back in the Premier League, with five points from their first five matches. The highlight has been the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. They tend to score goals and I’m predicting Chris Wilder’s side will get on the scoresheet at Goodison on Saturday, but it might not be enough for a win given the strong Everton forward players. With that in mind, an Everton win and both teams to score looks like one of the best bets of the Premier League this weekend.

Newcastle vs Brighton Betting Tip

The last of Saturday’s Premier League tips is from the 5.30pm kick-off at St James’ Park. Newcastle scored first at Anfield before losing 3-1, and drew with Watford in their last home match. Their highlight of the season so far is the 1-0 win away to Tottenham, and their fans have started slowly warming to Steve Bruce. However, a run of bad results will change all that very quickly. Joelinton looks key to their chances again this weekend and the hard working striker might be the man to get on the scoresheet.

Brighton lost 4-0 at Manchester City and didn’t really put up any fight. They started the season well with a win against Watford away from home though. Home draws against Burnley and West Ham haven’t installed much confidence and the 2-0 loss at home to Southampton was a really poor result.

At odds of 6/4, Newcastle look a very good bet to win this match and that’s the last betting tip for this weekend. They will want to get a home win for their supporters and if Brighton play anything like that have in recent weeks, they don’t hold much chance of getting a result.
