Reasons for this Weekend’s Football Betting Tips

 

Huddersfield vs Watford Betting Tip – Watford win.

Relegation to the Championship has already been confirmed for Huddersfield and six successive Premier League defeats will have eroded confidence even further. Conceding four goals apiece in three of four previous matches is not a good omen ahead of this home contest with Watford despite the visitors missing the suspended Troy Deeney. Although the Hornets will be looking forward to an FA Cup Final appearance, they have been beaten only by top six teams this year and four Premier League victories earned since early February is evidence that they are a capable team. Two damaging home defeats by Bournemouth and Cardiff have seriously increased the relegation fears of Brighton and they have failed to find the net in four matches this month. The Seagulls have beaten only Crystal Palace and Huddersfield in Premier League action this year and now travel to face a Wolves team competing to finish seventh in the league table. Wolves played poorly during a weekend 3-1 loss at Southampton following their FA Cup Semi-Final defeat, but they have won seven of their last eight games at Molineux and should win this encounter.

 

Falkirk vs Morton Betting Tip – Falkirk win.

After conceding a very late equaliser when drawing 2-2 with Inverness in a midweek Scottish Championship fixture, Morton are now winless in six games with the threat of relegation still persisting. The Greenock team have also yet to win a league game on the road this year ahead of this visit to a Falkirk outfit also desperate for points as they seek to avoid demotion. However, the Bairns have lost just two league games during 2019 and won 1-0 at Dunfermline in their previous fixture. A third win in six home outings is forecasted for Falkirk.

 

Montrose vs Airdrie Betting Tip – Montrose win.

As the Scottish League One campaign nears its finale, Montrose will be seeking to enhance their promotion playoff hopes when hosting Airdrie. The Gable Endies have netted at least twice in winning four of their last five games with a narrow defeat by runaway leaders Arbroath sandwiched among those victories. Visitors Airdrie need to win this game to offer any hope of overtaking their fourth-placed hosts, but they have won just two of six previous contests and were beaten 1-0 on home soil by bottom team Stenhousemuir at the weekend. A home victory is tipped.

 

Elgin vs Peterhead Betting Tip – Peterhead win.

With just three games remaining of the Scottish League Two campaign, Peterhead are clear favourites to claim the league title, and a shock 2-0 loss at bottom team Berwick last month is their only loss in twelve previous outings. Hosts Elgin have lost six consecutive fixtures and are marooned in a lower mid-table position with just pride to play for during the remainder of the season. A comfortable away victory is expected for Peterhead.
