184/1 Bookings Tips for the Champions League Today – 4 Card Picks for a Big Odds Accumulator

Bookings tips

The eagerly anticipated return of Europe’s most prestige competition, the Champions League, is back on Tuesday night and Dan has picked out four betting tips for players to pick up a card.

The 4 fold pays a huge 184/1 with Bet365. As always with tips like these, I recommend playing a Lucky 15 or a Yankee so that you cover the singles, doubles and trebles as well as the big priced 4 fold!

Tuesday Champions League Bookings Tips

  • Denis Vavro (vs Borussia Dortmund) @ 7/2
  • Callum McGregor (vs Real Madrid) @ 3/1
  • Marco Veratti (vs Juventus) @ 7/4
  • Erik Lamela (vs Man City) @ 11/4

Odds – 184/1 with Bet365

🟨Denis Vavro (FC Copenhagen) to be carded vs Borussia Dortmund (7/2)

The first of my selections sees us head to Germany where Dortmund take on Copenhagen. Dortmund have started the season in great fashion in the Bundesliga, currently sitting 2nd in the table. They’ll look to continue that good form in this competition and are heavy favourites to win on Tuesday night.

That’s why I’m siding with Slovakian centre half Vavro to be carded for the away side. I can see Dortmund piling relentless pressure on the visitors, and Vavro will be up against some elite players in Marco Reus and Jude Bellingham.

Vavro has been carded three times already in the Danish Superliga, so he’s definitely got something about him and I can see him being forced into putting a foot in this one to stop Dortmund’s firepower. He provides value at 7/2 to get a yellow.

🟨Callum McGregor (Celtic) to be carded vs Real Madrid (3/1)

Next I’m heading to Celtic Park where I think Celtic captain McGregor again provides value to be shown a yellow against last season’s winners and European Giants, Real Madrid.

Celtic players and fans would have been licking their lips to be facing the Spanish outfit in the Group Stages, therefore I can see emotions getting the better of a few of the Scottish sides players and McGregor could be the man to find himself in the referee’s bad books.

There’s no doubting this is a tough task for Celtic, but they won’t go down without a fight and with McGregor playing in the middle of the midfield trio, I can see him leading by example and getting stuck in which might land him in a bit of trouble. I think 3/1 is a real tasty price.

🟨Marco Veratti (PSG) to be carded vs Juventus (7/4)

I head from the Scottish capital to the French capital for my next selection, where PSG take on Juventus in what is arguably the tie of the evening on Tuesday.

I’m expecting a good few yellows in this, and the one who’s most likely to get a yellow is Veratti for the home side. Now he doesn’t provide much value as a single, however he is probably that price because he is known for picking up bookings; especially in this competition.

Another match where the midfield battle will be crucial, I’m expecting the Italian midfielder to get a card in this one.

🟨Erik Lamela (Sevilla) to be carded vs Man City (11/4)

For my last selection I’m heading to sunny Spain, where Sevilla host Premier League Champions Manchester City.

This is one competition that City are desperate to get their hands on and they’ll be looking to get off to the perfect start on Tuesday night.

I expect them to dominate and frustrate the home side, which will set up perfectly for the hot-headed Argentinian, Erik Lamela, to pick up a booking during this one. He’s another who’s known for picking up yellows, having picked up a massive 30 during his time in London.

Again he is one of many who could be carded, but 11/4 is a big price!
