League Two Betting Tips

Exeter vs Colchester – Exeter Win

Exeter arrive here on a superb run of form and the Grecians will fancy their chances of picking up all three points at St.James’ Park this weekend. They’ve now won three on the bounce and crucially they have kept clean sheets in each of those victories. Matt Taylor has guided his side to eight home victories this season with only five opposition sides finding the net in Devon. At the other end of the field, they offer a significant threat with the excellent Randell Williams proving very effective in the final third this season. Colchester continue to drop points and too many draws have stopped them from threatening the top three. They’ve drawn 7 of 14 on the road and although they’re incredibly difficult to beat – this is their toughest fixture in a long time.

Scunthorpe vs Crewe – Both Teams to Score? Yes

Crewe are one of the highest away scorers in the division with the Railwaymen routinely finding the net on their travels. Only Swindon are more prolific on the road although with just two clean sheets away from Gresty Road, their problems have largely been at the other end of the field. They drew 1-1 with Macclesfield in midweek and it’s hard to see them keeping Scunthorpe off the scoresheet. The Iron have been sloppy at home this season and will be looking to end a three-match losing streak in Lincolnshire. They haven’t kept a clean sheet here since November 2nd (vs Stevenage) yet they have scored in four of their last five.

Carlisle vs Walsall – Walsall Win

It’s taken a while, but Darrell Clarke has finally got Walsall moving up the table. The Saddlers beat Grimsby at the Banks’ Stadium last weekend yet it’s their away form which has impressed in recent weeks. Prior to their 3-1 defeat to Cheltenham, they’d won three of four on their travels and even held high-flying Exeter to a 3-3 draw on their own patch. They should be able to take advantage of Carlisle’s home troubles on Saturday. The Cumbrians have won just three times at Brunton Park this season and have failed to score in any of their last four matches at this ground. They’ve only beaten Macclesfield, Oldham and Crawley here this season and Walsall are unlikely to be added to that list.
