Saturday League Two Betting Tips

Northampton vs Forest Green Betting Tip – Northampton Win

Northampton are one of the form teams in the divisions and they will fancy their chances of securing yet another three points when they take on Forest Green on Saturday. The Cobblers have won each of their last four home matches and scored at least two goals in each of those games. They face one of the toughest defences in the division here, although FGR have been a little sloppier in recent weeks. They’ve won just two of the last four games in League Two and were defeated 2-0 at home to Scunthorpe seven days ago. The hosts have beaten a number of mid-table teams here, but they also stuck four past Crewe and Keith Curle is clearly getting a tune out of his side. Set-pieces could be key and the home side are a decent price to continue their winning run at Sixfields.

Scunthorpe vs Colchester Betting Tip – Scunthorpe Win

The Iron are also an upwardly mobile unit and Paul Hurst has benefitted from being given time at Glanford Park. His side are now unbeaten in six and have won each of their last three. They’ve netted exactly two goals in each of those games and they could have too much for an inconsistent Colchester side. The visitors have won just one of their last four away games and that was a narrow success over Mansfield. The Us will not be an easy side to play against, but Scunny’s recent form suggests that they could potentially edge this one. Only two sides have won at this ground this season (one of them is Swindon) and Colchester are unlikely to add their name to that exclusive list.

Crewe vs Mansfield Betting Tip – Crewe Win

Crewe have now kept back-to-back clean sheets and hit five past Morecambe in their last match at Gresty Road. When the Railwaymen are purring, they often fire on all cylinders and their young squad loves time on the ball. Port Vale are the only side to score at this ground in the last 270 minutes of football and even high-flying Swindon left Cheshire with nothing to show for their efforts. Mansfield have beaten the sides in the bottom half this season, but John Dempster’s side have had real trouble when taking on the division’s better sides. Away from home, eighth bottom Walsall are the highest side that they’ve defeated and they could struggle here.
