Crystal Palace vs Everton predictions and betting tips for the Premier League fixture on Saturday 27th April 2019. Everton are still chasing a top four place and come into this match off the back of a 4-0 win over Manchester United.
Kick-off time: 3.00pm.
Date: Saturday 27th April 2019.
Venue: Selhurst Park, Croydon.
It has been an indifferent season for both of these teams, with good results and performances overshadowed by poor ones. As recently as last week, Everton thrashed Manchester United 4-0 and Crystal Palace beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium, but Palace have recently lost at home to Brighton, and Everton were soundly beaten 2-0 at relegated Fulham.
It is hard to predict which side will turn up when these teams play but Roy Hodgson’s team have actually been doing some of their better work away from home – the win over Arsenal was their fourth win in their last four on the road, losing only to Spurs and beating Leicester, Burnley and Newcastle.
Everton’s fantastic home run has seen them beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in their last three games without conceding a goal and if they can perform anything like they did in those matches, or the 2-0 away win at West Ham, they should beat Palace here.
A close match is expected but for the first of our Crystal Palace vs Everton predictions, the selection is Everton to win and the odds are 9/5 with bet365.
Wilfried Zaha is the obvious choice when it comes to a Crystal Palace anytime goalscorer bet, he has scored nine goals this season and found the net in the 3-2 win over Arsenal last time out. However, we’re going for an Everton player for the anytime scorer tip this weekend and backing youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin to get a goal. His performances in recent weeks have deserved it but even though he has been playing really well, it hasn’t dropped for him in front of goal, however against a leaky Palace defence, this could be the perfect opportunity. He’s 9/4 to find the net.
Palace have only won one of their last five home matches and suffered three defeats in that run, but they have scored in all of those games and the last time they failed to find the net at Selhurst Park was 10 matches ago. That’s why both teams to score would be a great bet here. They have only kept one clean sheet in their last five at home as well, keeping only Huddersfield from scoring.
Everton’s form players including Lucas Digne (who didn’t make it into the PFA Team of the Year team) and Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is into double figures for goals this season, will be hoping to find the net again here and the Digne and Bernard partnership down the Everton left will cause youngster Wan-Bissaka (who also didn’t get into the PFA Team of the Year) problems.
A tight match is expected here but the last of our Crystal Palace vs Everton predictions is for Everton to win 1-0 and the odds for this are 10/1 at bet365.
Crystal Palace to win – 13/8
Draw – 5/2
Everton to win – 9/5
