Rangers vs Aberdeen Betting Tips

or some unaccountable reason, Aberdeen seem to up their game when they take on Rangers – as evidenced by the fact that Steven Gerrard’s men have beaten the north eastern club just once this campaign. That victory came at Pittodrie back in February and saw the Light Blues run out 4-2 winners.

It’s probably not unfair to say that despite the recent head-to-head, Rangers can fairly lay claim to being the better side with the gap between the two sides in the league a fairly substantial eight points.

The hosts have looked good in recent outings – although admittedly against lesser opposition – for the Rangers vs Aberdeen predictions, and I can see them gaining revenge for being knocked out of the FA Cup by Aberdeen earlier this year. I like the look of Rangers winning this one with three or more goals being scored during the 90 minutes.

The best odds for this betting tip are 7/5 with William Hill where you get a 3 free £10 bet sign-up offer.

Ryan Kent’s last action in a Rangers journey before his recent suspension was infamously dropping Scott Brown during another typically well-contested Old Firm derby. Ironically, it was Kent who got 10-man Rangers back into the game that day with his fantastic solo effort cancelling out Odsonne Edouard’s opener.

Kent’s loan spell will come to a close at the season’s completion which will greatly disappoint the majority of the Ibrox faithful, who have grown to appreciate his flair on the flanks.

The expectation is that Steven Gerrard will include the Liverpool academy graduate in his starting XI to face Aberdeen on Sunday and capitalise on the Dons’ supposed frailties at right-back. This has been Kent’s most productive season so far in terms of goals and assists, and it wouldn’t come as any surprise if he added to his tally before the weekend is out. He’s 5/2 with a number of firms to score anytime, including Coral.

Rangers vs Aberdeen Correct Score Prediction

Celtic fans will be hoping Derek McInnes’ men can do them a favour by taking points off their bitter foe to secure an eighth successive Scottish Premiership title. Aberdeen will surely take confidence from their previous encounters with Rangers this season but in truth they’ve ridden their luck at times are were certainly fortunate to avoid defeat on the opening day of the season.

If the home side play with the same sort of speed and intensity they’ve shown throughout April then it could be a long afternoon for the travelling Dons. Rangers have scored three in each of their previous two matches and will now face the second most porous defence among the top six.

Recent history suggests otherwise but I strongly fancy Rangers to put Aberdeen away here and extend the gap between second and third. A 3-1 home win would maintain the theme of their recent scoring exploits whilst also accounting for the obligatory conceded goal that tends to occur when Rangers take on the Dandies.
