Arsenal to win

Arsenal have enjoyed an excellent start to their campaign this season under Mikel Arteta and lie top of the league after 12 games, two points ahead of last seasons champions Manchester City. Arsenal have won 10 of these 12 games in the Premier League, drawing one and losing the other. They have scored 30 goals already this campaign, conceding just 11, and are looking good to fight for the title. Chelsea, on the other hand, have not had the best of times in the league recently. Last time out, they were defeated 4-1 away to Brighton and prior to that they had two draws with Manchester United and Brentford. I think Arsenal will take the three points in this one and remain at the top of the league.

 

Both teams to score

Although Arsenal have conceded only 11 goals this season, I expect there to be goals in this one and I think both teams will get themselves on the scoresheet. In Chelsea’s last four fixtures in all competitions both teams have scored, and on 10 occasions this season they have been involved in fixtures where both teams have scored. Eight of Arsenal’s fixtures in all competitions have seen goals from both teams, and I think this one will be the same and this will land comfortably.

Jorginho is a player well-known for never shying away from a tackle, and I expect him to be the same in this fixture and make a number of fouls. He has picked up two bookings in the Premier League so far this season, and averages 0.96 fouls per game with a tackle success rate of 59%. Coming up against a physically robust Arsenal midfield at the weekend, I expect him to pick up his third booking of the season.
