Burnley vs Brighton Predictions

Burnley betting tips

Under 2.5 Goals – 10/11 at bet365.

Half-time Score 0-0 – 7/4 at bet365.

Burnley have had an emphatic second half of the season. They have lost just once in their last 15 league games with their only defeat coming to Manchester City in June. The Clarets are unbeaten in seven, keeping four clean sheets in that period. No one has kept more shut outs than Nick Pope this season.

Their opponents, Brighton, have just two wins in 2020. Their record since the turn of the year reads 2W-9D-8L. The Seagulls have failed to score in six of their last ten league fixtures. From their last 12 games, only four have seen over 2.5 goals, with the 2-1 win over Arsenal the only game outside the current top five to have exceeded this total.

The last time these two met, they drew 1-1 back in September. Neal Maupay opened the scoring that day, with the now-departed, Jeff Hendrick, scoring the equaliser for the Clarets.

With very little to play for, this could be yet another low-scoring affair for these two sides. Brighton played out a dull 0-0 against Newcastle last time out, whilst Burnley scored just twice against 9-man Norwich.

Southampton vs Sheffield United Predictions

Southampton betting tips

Both Teams to Score – No – 1/1 at bet365.

Under 2.5 Goals – 10/11 at bet365.

Southampton have ended the season in incredibly strong fashion, registering just one loss since the restart. The Saints have won four and drawn three of their last eight. Their only loss in this period came against Arsenal after going down to ten men.

Sheffield United have had a mixed restart, picking up impressive wins against the likes of Chelsea, Wolves, and Tottenham but have also suffered disappointing defeats to Newcastle and most recently, Everton.

Southampton will either finish eleventh or twelfth whilst Sheffield United can only finish eighth, ninth, or tenth.

Seven of the Blades’ last nine league games have only featured goals from one side. Southampton’s recent record is more balanced but the Saints have still been involved in goalless affairs for one side in half of their eight games since the restart.

Newcastle vs Liverpool Predictions

Newcastle betting tips

Liverpool to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 5/6 at be365.

Newcastle have taken just two points from their last five and will finish either 13th or 14th. The Magpies have been safe for several games with little left to play for. They were unbeaten in six either side of the restart but have now lost three of their last four. Surprisingly, Newcastle have not lost at home to a top-four side this season.

Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy after a 5-3 win over Chelsea on Wednesday. The Reds currently sit on 96 points with the chance to end on 99, one of the best tallies in Premier League history. Jurgen Klopp’s side have failed to win five of their last ten league games.

Neither side have much to play for here but it is Liverpool who have been in better form. With no other competitions left, the Reds will likely field a strong line-up and look to end in style. Since January, Newcastle have conceded three or more to Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham.

Manchester City vs Norwich Predictions

Manchester City to Win to Nil – 8/11 at bet365.

David Silva to Score – 7/4 at bet365.

Earmarked as a potentially crucial game at both ends of the table at the start of the season, Manchester City vs Norwich will be nothing more than an exhibition match. Neither side can move up or down in the table regardless of the result.

Nevertheless, Manchester City have ended the season in strong form, sweeping aside the vast majority of sides they have faced since the restart. Guardiola’s side have won by three or more goals to nil on six occasions.

Meanwhile, Norwich have continued to be as flat as ever, barely putting up a fight against relegation. This is a squad clearly out of their depth and low on confidence. The Canaries have lost every game since the restart and have managed just five wins all season.

A repeat of their 3-2 victory over Manchester City back in September is highly unlikely with this set to be yet another route for the blue half of Manchester. David Silva’s final Premier League game is sure to see him start and he may even be handed penalty duties.
