Liverpool vs Tranmere Preview

This will be the fourth consecutive summer that Liverpool have made the short trip to Tranmere Rovers and there is always a decent crowd at Prenton Park. The 2019 Champions League winners are playing their first match since that night in Madrid.

Liverpool usually take a lot of youngsters to this pre-season game so don’t expect to see many first team players feature. However, the likes of Simon Mignolet, Adam Lallana, Joel Matip and Divock Origi might play some part. Last season, Liverpool won the match 3-2 Camacho, Ojo and Adam Lallana and they’ll be hoping to get off to a winning start ahead of tougher fixtures against the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Napoli this summer.

There will be a few new signings on show for Micky Mellon’s side here but one player who won’t feature is the now departed James Norwood.
