Jordan Hugill – QPR vs Luton

Jordan Hugill is a man in form, and he’s worth sticking with this weekend. The West Ham loanee always scores goals at this level, and since crossing the capital, he’s scored five times. He netted twice against Sheffield Wednesday prior to the International break, and he also missed a sitter in that game. Mark Warburton’s young side have made a decent enough start to the campaign, and they are creating chances. The likes of Ilias Chair and Eberechi Eze will always forge opportunities, and they aren’t afraid to take chances. Nahki Wells is another option up front for the Rs, but on current form, Hugill is surely one of the first names on the team-sheet. Whilst Luton sit comfortably above the relegation zone, they are yet to keep a clean sheet, and the 27-year old will surely relish the chance to test himself against the Hatters back-line.

Paddy Madden – Southend vs Fleetwood

I think it may be fairly obvious why the Fleetwood anytime goalscorer markets look attractive this weekend. The Cod Army are playing well, and they will be coming up against a Southend side, who just cannot defend. They have conceded 17 times so far, and come off the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Rochdale. They have sacked Kevin Bond, but that is unlikely to result in an immediate response. Their defence looks ponderous and Fleetwood’s forward line of Ched Evans and Paddy Madden should be able to capitalise. The latter is the bigger price, and therefore is the selection. He netted last week against Oxford with a poachers finish, and that was his sixth goal in all competitions. He’s only failed to find the net on four occasions this campaign, and he’s likely to get plenty of joy against the Shrimpers.

Jerry Yates – Swindon vs Macclesfield

This isn’t the first time that Jerry Yates (or his strike partner Eoin Doyle) have appeared in this bet, but the on-loan Rotherham youngster continues to impress at the County Ground. Swindon score plenty of goals, and they hit three past Leyton Orient with relative ease last week. Despite having served a suspension, he’s already netted four times this campaign, and has found the net in each of his last two appearances. Yates is a real livewire, and Swindon will create chances for him. Macc don’t concede too many goals, but they’re leakier on the road, and even defensive minded teams could struggle to keep this Swindon frontline off the score-sheet. Eoin Doyle is 21/20 and could also be worth backing.
