Newcastle Fans Left FUMING as Club are set to lose Rafael Benitez as Manager
Over the weekend there were strong rumours that Newcastle United were set to lose manager Rafa Benitez, and it has left the Newcastle fans absolutely fuming on Twitter.
Benitez’ contract expires this summer and with the reports of a takeover still up in the air, it looks like the Spaniard is set to walk away from St. James’ Park. The club are rumoured to be making one last attempt to keep the manager but it looks a forlorn hope, with Benitez set to leave amidst the uncertainty off the field.
Owner Mike Ashley is looking to sell the club and he is the man many people blame for the struggles Newcastle have faced over the last few years. A distinct lack of investment also forced Benitez into a corner earlier this season and that looks like it was the final straw for the former Liverpool, Valencia and Real Madrid manager. If a takeover was agreed already, it might have been a different story.
The fans are pointing the blame at one man for this debacle and took to Twitter over the weekend to display their anger at Mike Ashley.
In a weeks time we've either signed a new deal with a world class manager with a decent transfer budget or stuck with another spineless puppet strung by our incompetent owner. Facing another relegation with a mass exodus of our top players. Only at Newcastle United. #nufc

What happened to the last ditch attempt reported by @ChronicleNUFC and @ChrisDHWaugh yesterday? Too little, too late?

If we have a new manager come in, it will be no reflection on them, but I am not supporting this club anymore!
Rafa had everything, brains, the vision and the passion. He wanted to make #nufc great. Ashley didn't!
My sabbatical will last as long as Ashley is in charge #ashleyout— Ashley hates NUFC fans (@TOONRafalution) June 24, 2019
A large number of season ticket holders at St. James’ Park have vowed not to go to matches next season if Mike Ashley is still in charge. They see Benitez as irreplaceable.
Anyone who shows up to the stadium if Rafa leaves and not replaced by someone w/ as good or better resumé and puts a dollar in Ashley’s pocket is a sick deranged masochist, and I don’t want to hear anything about it’s in their blood or the family has been going forever #AshleyOut

Who will be the next Newcastle United manager?
It is quite obvious that Newcastle fans have had enough of Mike Ashley, but if Benitez goes, who would be the next Newcastle manager? At the moment, Garry Monk is the favourite in the next Newcastle United manager betting odds at 5/1 with Sean Dyche second favourite. Jose Mourinho is also 6/1 and Chris Hughton and David Moyes are both 8/1.
HOW can #NUFC be 3rd favourites to sign Mbappe.. week later – Gary Monk is odds on to be our next Manager! The most Newcastle like thing to happen.. #HarchesterUtd

Only at Newcastle can you be linked with Jose Mourinhio and Garry Monk in the space of a week ?

If Garry Monk is our manager I will unfollow all things to do with Newcastle, I will not check for their scores and will not be remotely interested in any news to do with Newcastle

It’s safe to say that the Newcastle fans are not impressed by former Leeds and Birmingham boss Garry Monk being the current favourite in the next Newcastle manager odds – but Chris Hughton is also in the running after being sacked by Brighton at the end of last season.
BREAKING: With Rafa Benitez looking more than likely to be leaving @NUFC, former manager, Chris Hughton, WILL be offered a return #nufc #manager
