Champions League Final Teams: Liverpool
The Merseysiders booked their place in the final with a sensational comeback against Barcelona in their semi-final. Losing 3-0 after the first leg at the Nou Camp, Liverpool had it all to do and to make matters worse, they were without both Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino for the match.
Liverpool went into the half-time break 1-0 up before three second half goals sent Anfield into meltdown, and booked Liverpool their place in the Champions League final for the second consecutive season.
Last season in Kiev, Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 3-1 to Real Madrid – a match that will be remembered for Karius’ error and Gareth Bale’s amazing overhead kick goal.
Champions League Final Teams: Tottenham Hotspur
If you think the Liverpool result against Barcelona was unlikely, Tottenham did something even more spectacular against Ajax in Amsterdam. With 55 minutes on the clock, Spurs needed three goals to qualify for the final in Madrid.
Lucas Moura got one back to give them hope, before firing in a second a few minutes later. After Ajax hit the post, Spurs hit the crossbar with what looked like their last chance of the match, before Lucas Moura completed his hat-trick as the clock ticked into the 95th minute.
It left Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino in tears and the Spurs players sprinting over to their hat-trick hero Moura.
