Dagenham and Redbridge vs Bromley Preview

The Daggers made it four unbeaten at the weekend when picking up their second consecutive 1-1 draw on the road. Peter Taylor was pleased with his side’s performance and admitted that he would have taken a point before the game. Despite Chesterfield’s struggles, it is not easy to come away from the Proact with anything, and the Daggers put up a decent fight throughout. The counter-attacking approach worked well, but they are unlikely to deploy the same tactics here, despite facing an unbeaten opponent. Taylor’s men made a slow start to the campaign, losing their opening two home games without finding the net, but they’ve since scored seven times in front of their own fans, and the form of Angelo Balanta, Joe Quigley and Joan Luque certainly bodes well for this game. One minor concern is perhaps their lack of clean sheet so far, with the former Gillingham boss bemoaning the fact that his side allowed the cross to be delivered for the equaliser on Saturday.

Bromley were tipped by some as dark horses this season, and those predictions are certainly beginning to stack up. It’s still early days of course, but the Ravens have been excellent so far, and arrive at Victoria Road aiming to protect their eight game unbeaten run. They picked up a useful point against an inconsistent AFC Fylde at the weekend with Frankie Rayond grabbing his second goal of the campaign to level the scores. Away from home, their games have been right, but Neil Smith’s men have just edged them – which is the sign of a decent team. They drew with Chorley despite dominating the contest before beating Hartlepool, Aldershot and Maidenhead on the road. Admittedly, it hasn’t been the toughest opening set of fixtures, and there are bigger tests to come. Reeco Hackett-Fairchild is one to watch in the coming weeks, he’s already notched four times this season, with all four of those strikes coming on the road.

Dagenham and Redbridge vs Bromley Betting Tips

Bromley are probably going to be winning games by scoring goals as opposed to keeping things tight and nicking the odd goal. They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four games, and they could find the Dagenham forward line a real handful. They’ve lost 3-0, 5-1 and 2-1 in their previous visits here, but they look a better rounded side this time around, and they should get on the score-sheet. Daggers boss Peter Taylor would relish a clean sheet, but their back-line is unlikely to keep a shutout this time around. I’m sure they will soon, but Bromley are likely to be too good in the final third. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 7/10 and that looks a decent place to start in this televised tie.

As previously mentioned, Bromley have a number of goalscorers in their side, but Reeco Hackett-Fairchild does seem to reserve his best for away trips. Admittedly, this isn’t the further journey they will have to make, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him notch for the third consecutive away game. He’s best price 9/4 with Bet365 to score anytime in this fixture, and is well worth a look.
