Man United vs Athletic Bilbao Predictions

I think Man United will win this one comfortably at home, extending their three-goal lead and progressing to the Europa League final. United have won only three of their last 10 in all competitions, but have turned it on in the Europa League, progressing through the competition without defeat either in the group stages, or in either leg in the knockout stages of the competition. Bilbao have won only four of their last 10, and will find it difficult to impose their game at Old Trafford. I think the Red Devils will win this one comfortably. That said, I do think both teams will score. Bilbao will have to come out all guns blazing to have any chance of progressing to the final, and they’ll need an early goal to give themselves a chance. I think they’ll put United under pressure early doors, and I think they’ll score at least once, despite expecting them to lose in 90 minutes. They have scored in 12 of their last 20 in all competitions. United have scored in seven of their last 10 games, and I think both teams to score is a good bet here. I’m backing Alejandro Garnacho to have one or more shots on target here. He has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, with six in the league, one in the Europa League and three in three in the Carabao Cup. In the Premier League, he has had 30 shots on target in 34 appearances, giving him an average of just under one per game. United will create chances here, and I think he will have at least one shot on target. Berchiche Yuri is the man we’re backing for a booking. The left back has picked up seven bookings in all competitions this season, with four yellows in La Liga and three in his 10 Europa League appearances. He averages over one foul per game in the Europa League this season, and I think it’ll be a difficult game for him here against United’s wingers. He’s good odds to pick up a booking here.
