Wolves vs Crusaders Betting Tips

There is little point in backing a Wolves victory, with odds ranging from 1/40 to 1/200 and beyond. The Wolves backline should not be stretched too often, so a Crusaders goal seems unlikely. Wolves to win to nil is priced nicely at 2/5 and should be easy profit.

Expect the Premier League side to rack up the goals in this encounter. Wolves will be looking to finish off the tie as soon as possible and should put a few past Crusaders without too much resistance. Score lines can be difficult to call, but with a clean sheet looking likely, it’s more of a question of how many for Wolves. 5-0 is our tip for this one.

Crusaders will no doubt attempt to put up a fight, but we have no doubt that the better team will prevail. Wolves may well score early, but a late flurry of goals is usually the way when facing far inferior opponents. Rangers exemplified this with just two first half goals, compared to their eight second half goals, across two legs versus St Jospeh’s last week. The 2nd half is priced at 5/6 in the highest scoring half market.

Wolves vs Crusaders Preview

Wolves begin their qualification journey for this season’s Europa League against Crusaders. Their opponents are based in Northern Ireland and finished fourth in last season’s NIFL Premiership. Crusaders have had to negotiate their way through an additional qualifying round, beating Faroese semi-professionals, B36 Tórshavn, 5-2 on aggregate. The Belfast side will struggle to pose much of a threat to a club of Wolves’ stature. By comparison, Molineaux seats almost ten times as many as Crusader’s 3000-seater Seaview stadium.

Wolves participated in the Premier League Asia Trophy earlier this month. A convincing 4-0 victory over Newcastle preceded a goalless draw against Manchester City in the final. That match went all the way to penalties where the West Midlands team won 3-2. Games against Premier League opposition will have done the Wolves squad no harm, as they prepare for their first competitive match of the season. Anticipate a professional job, as Wolves do what is expected of them in front of their own crowd.
