Cardiff vs Middlesbrough Betting Tips

It’s been a struggle for the Bluebirds so far this campaign. Neil Warnock’s side have failed to hit the ground running, and haven’t won since August 21st. The Welshmen are tough to beat, and remain undefeated at home and that should give the fans plenty to be positive about. They’ve also scored the opener in each of those three encounters, and they will be feeling confident of taking something from this tie.

Last weekend, Warnock’s men had to come from behind at Pride Park, picking up a useful 1-1 draw against Derby.

Cardiff have won each of their last two matches against Middlesbrough by the same score-line (1-0), and just one goal has separated the two sides in Neil Warnock’s last four managerial encounters with Middlesbrough. It is expected to be a tight game with very little the sides. Although there have been very few draws between these sides, this could easily end all-square and at 12/5 with Bet Victor, a stalemate looks the best option in this contest.

Aden Flint will come up against his former club in this fixture, and the big defender will be keen to get on the score-sheet. Meanwhile, summer signing Robert Glatzel is off the mark in a Cardiff shirt, and could be the man to back in this contest.

Boro are averaging more possession this season, and they’re playing a much easier on the eye brand of football under Jonathon Woodgate. They’ve drawn 3-3 and 2-2 on the road, and they’re happy to play in a fairly open style away from the Riverside. Both of the Teessiders’ two victories have come at home, and they will be hoping to pick up their first away win of the campaign.

Cardiff are yet to keep a clean sheet at home, whilst Boro have scored five times in three away matches. Both Teams to Score? Yes looks to be a decent option at 8/11 with Betfred.

BTTS doesn’t land often in this fixture, but we have to approach this game on current evidence, and even with Dael Fry back in the side, neither team are defending resolutely enough at the moment.
