2025/26 Premier League Handicap Betting Odds, Table and Starting Handicaps
The Premier League handicap betting odds are always a popular one to bet on for punters and the odds for the 2025/26 handicap have been released by bet365.
Nottingham Forest were the winners of the Premier League handicap table in the 2024/25 season with a massive +47 start. Nobody could have predicted the season they had which seen them qualify for Europe, and just miss out on the Champions League.
bet365 have given Forest a +32 start for the 2025/56 season which could still look generous.
Last year’s Premier League winners Liverpool will start the league table off scratch with Arsenal on +3 and Manchester City also +3. The promoted teams get a huge handicap following the demise of all three promted clubs last season, Sunderland +52, Burnley + 51 and Leeds +43.
How does Premier League Handicap Betting Work?
To understand the Premier League handicap betting system, you need to know the starting handicaps of all the teams. The easiest way to explain how this works is by saying that all the teams start with their handicap points total.
So for the 2025/26 season, Liverpool will start on 0 points because they are predicted to win the title. bet365 has Arsenal starting on +3 points, Man City on +3, Chelsea on +12, Newcastle +15, Aston Villa +21 etc.
Effectively, how the Premier League handicap betting works is at the end of the season, you add the handicap onto the points total for each team, and whoever has the most points COMBINED, wins the handicap table.
All of the teams have odds of 15/1 and you can bet each-way at 1/4 the odds first 4 places.

- Nottingham Forest won the 2024/25 Premier League handicap table with a total of 112 points.
- Brentford and Fulham made up the top 3, also with high starting handicaps.
- Title winners Liverpool finished 5th in the table.
- Tottenham and Manchester United finished 20th and 19th in what was a shocking domestic season for both clubs.
- Even with a 50 point start, Southampton could only manage 62 points in total.
- Arsenal were way off the pace, finishing 15th, below Leicester, West Ham and Wolves
