Reasons for our Friday Night Accumulator Tips

Randers vs FC Copenhagen Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

Despite juggling their domestic activities with European commitments, FC Copenhagen have made a blistering start to the campaign. Stale Solbakken’s men can occasionally be slow out of the traps, but they’ve been foot perfect this time around. Their away form has been particularly impressive with a 3-3 record so far in the Danish top flight. Although Odense gave them a scare, they still managed to come out on top, and have now netted seven times on the road. They face a Randers side who will be looking to end their opponent’s perfect road record this weekend, and they certainly have the tools to cause them problems. The hosts do score goals, but they don’t keep clean sheets. It’s now 11 games since they managed a shut-out and something tells me this won’t be the game in which they put in a near-perfect defensive display.  However, FC Copenhagen come off the back of a 1-1 draw with FK Crvena Zvezda, and this may be the perfect time to catch them. The visitors won 2-0 here in February, but Randers are playing with more confidence, have netted five home goals (against Brondby and Nordsjaelland), so they could easily play their part in an entertaining game.

Nancy vs Le Mans Tip – Nancy Win

It’s been a fairly underwhelming start to the season for Nancy, although they do remain unbeaten. The northeasterners have drawn all three matches so far, but it’s their 1-1 draw against early pacesetters Lorient which catches the eye. Although they were under the cosh in the second half, they managed to get a point from one of their trickiest games of the season, and they’ll be delighted with that outcome. They followed that up with a 1-0 victory in the cup against Caen, helping them remain unbeaten in all competitions thus far. Le Mans were also victorious in the cup, but their Ligue 2 form leaves plenty to be desired. Since promotion, they’ve struggled, and despite having all the chances against Valenciennes, they somehow conceded two sloppy goals. They’ve conceded six times so far, four more than today’s opponents, and it’s those poor mistakes at the back which will make the difference.

Thor vs Haukar Tip – Thor Win and Over 1.5 Goals

We’re off to Iceland for the third of our accumulator tips on Friday. Thor have been excellent at home this season with just one defeat (against Grotta) in front of their own fans. With the season ending in September, it is a crucial stage of the campaign, and they must continue picking up points. They are seven unbeaten in all competitions, and five unbeaten at home. Haukar were in good form, but they’ve just started to tail off. They’ve endured two batterings on the road, and have been defeated in four of their last five matches. Their away form is mixed, with their only wins on the road coming against sides sat in the bottom four. They’ve conceded the first goal in six of their last seven matches, and it’s now 14 games since they managed to keep a clean sheet. Thor have won each of the last three meetings between this pair, and they should do so again on Friday. Chuck in Over 1.5 Goals for good measure.

Vitesse vs PEC Zwolle Tip – Vitesse Win and Over 1.5 Goals

Leonid Slutsky’s Vitesse have had a pretty tough start to the season. They had to host Ajax on the opening day of the season, and managed to hold the champions to a creditable 2-2 draw, before winning away at Willem II, and keeping a clean sheet in the process. They will be further boosted by the return of Riechedly Bazoer, who was dismissed against his former employers. The former Ajax man is a real threat from midfield, and he will play an important role this season. PEC Zwolle haven’t begun the season well, and there is plenty of work to do for John Stegeman. He inherited some good young players, but his side are clearly having problems at the back. They’ve conceded six times in two matches, with Willem II and FC Utrecht helping themselves to three each. They always find visits to Arnhem tough going, and were defeated 4-1 here last season. They haven’t won any of their last 11 visits to this ground, and that wait looks set to go on.
