Norwich vs Blackburn Betting Tips and Predictions

Norwich betting tips

Norwich vs Blackburn betting tips, predictions and match preview for Saturday’s late Championship fixture. The Canaries only need a point to secure promotion to the Premier League, and they will benefit from knowing the outcome of Sheffield United’s result against near-neighbours Ipswich. Daniel Farke’s side are looking to get back to winning ways after recording four straight draws.

Blackburn have conceded the most away goals in the division, and they are hardly reliable types on the road, but they do come off the back of successive away wins, and they will be aiming to make it a hat-trick of successful road trips in East Anglia. The nerves are clearly playing a part in Norwich’s recent run, although they have been rather unlucky, with Fernando Forestieri’s wonderstrike denying them all three points here on Good Friday. Blackburn have very little to play for, but they should play their part in this potentially entertaining clash.

Norwich vs Blackburn Preview and Betting Odds

Norwich’s recent performances have been decent, but they do have the habit of conceding goals. They came up against a resilient Stoke side last week, and were given a real test by the Potters. Their last two home games have seen them come up against a resurgent Reading side, who were scrapping for survival, and an always-competitive Sheffield Wednesday outift. Norwich were expected to win both of those matches, and they are long odds-on for this encounter too.

They do only need a point from this match, and the temptation is to back a draw, but the job isn’t done yet, and Daniel Farke will be keen to impress that on his side ahead of this one.

They have plenty of talent at their disposal, and Emi Buendia’s return from suspension certainly gives more creativity in the final third.

Blackburn have been involved in some high-scoring games recently, winning 2-1 at Loftus Road and the City Ground, but even in defeat, they tend to be competitive. They scored in the second half at Villa Park to make a game of it against Dean Smith’s side whilst they also scored twice at Elland Road, as well as finding the net at Ashton Gate.

Previous clashes between the two sides have also been fairly entertaining, with fans enjoying a 2-2 draw here at Carrow Road 13 months ago. Four of the last five meetings between the pair have seen Over 2.5 Goals pay out, and I expect Norwich to triumph in an entertaining spectacle.

The first of our Championship betting tips is Norwich to Win and Over 2.5 Goals, and it is priced at 10/11 with Ladbrokes. That is a standout price.

Norwich vs Blackburn Betting Tips

It’s been a standout season for Teemu Pukki. He may have failed to make the grade in the Scottish top flight, but the Finn has flourished in this forward thinking Norwich team, and he is currently on 28 for the campaign. He’ll be looking to make history here, and is aiming to break the 30-goal barrier. No player has reached this total since Glenn Murray in the 2012-13 campaign, and Pukki will be feeling confident of matching the Brighton striker’s tally.

If he doesn’t manage to get on the score-sheet here, he will have another 90 minutes in which to find the back of the net, but I think he’ll fancy this chances against Blackburn’s defence.

Pukki is around 8/11 to find the net anytime in this fixture, and that price is fair enough. However, we’re feeling a little more ambitious, and backing him to score two or more goals here is worth a look at 7/2 with Paddy Power. He’s achieved this feat on six occasions in Norwich colours, and I think it’s worth taking a chance on him to repeat the trick once more.

Teemu Pukki to Score Two or More Goals is priced at 7/2 with Paddy Power, and it’s the second of our Norwich vs Blackburn predictions for Saturday night.

Norwich vs Blackburn Prediction – Both Teams to Score? Yes – 8/11 with Betfred

Norwich have been the real entertainers of the division this season, and they have been a joy to watch. As a neutral, watching the Canaries pour forward at every opportunity has been a real breath of fresh air, and they play some wonderful football along the way.

Daniel Farke’s side are packed full of technical players, who love having the ball at their feet, and they should enjoy the fact that Blackburn are likely to take a similar approach here.

Each of Norwich’s last four Championship games have ended with BTTS, and although their defence hasn’t been massively impressive recently, their attack is certainly firing on all cylinders.

Blackburn have won each of their last two away games by a 2-1 score-line, and they’ve kept up their record of finding the net in every away trip in 2019. Only Sheffield United and Derby have kept Tony Mowbray’s side off the score-sheet.

BTTS is short in this game, but I was expecting far less value, and at the time of writing, 8/11 seems like a very reasonable price.
