Tottenham vs Huddersfield predictions and betting tips for the Premier League fixture on Saturday 13th April 2019 at the new Tottneham Hostpur Stadium. Huddersfield are already relegated but Spurs have to do without Harry Kane for this match.
Spurs are still in a battle for the top four with Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea.
Huddersfield are rock bottom of the table and have already been relegated back to the Championship.
The Terriers have failed to score in seven of their last eight away matches.
The brilliant win over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter final was marred somewhat by injuries to Harry Kane and Dele Alli, with the striker set to miss the remainder of the season and possibly England’s Nations League semi-final against Netherlands.
Dele Alli fractured a hand in the match against Man City and will be further assessed before deciding whether he will play. It looks unlikely with the return leg against City coming up this week.
Huddersfield will be playing Championship football next season and for our Tottenham vs Huddersfield prediction, it’s hard to see anything other than an easy win for Spurs here. Huddersfield have failed to score in seven of their last eight away matches and Spurs have won their opening two matches at the new stadium without conceding.
With that in mind, a bet on Tottenham to win to nil looks a great shout for our football betting tips here.
Tottenham to win – 2/9
Draw – 6/1
Huddersfield to win – 14/1
With Harry Kane injured, it looks like Son will be tasked with leading the line for the rest of the season as Fernando Llorente rarely get a chance from the start. Mauricio Pochettino will have one eye on the second leg of the Champions League semi-final with Manchester City, but he also knows his side cannot afford any slips in the race for fourth.
That means they’ll play with a strong starting line-up this weekend and Son is going to be our selection for a first goalscorer tip. The South Korean was brilliant when filling in for Harry Kane earlier in the season and he’s rightly favourite to score first here.
Another option for a first scorer would be Dele Alli but he’s unlikely to be risked ahead of the quarter final second leg, and Christian Eriksen is always worth a second luck on goalscorer bets.
We’re not expecting Huddersfield to score here so there isn’t much point considering any of their players to find the net, even for an anytime goalscorer bet.
Huddersfield accepted they would be relegated a long time ago and they have really struggled for goals this season – scoring just 19 goals all season. Away from home they have managed to score just 11 goals and three of those was in the recent 4-3 loss at West Ham United.
Spurs beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in their opening match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but their home form at Wembley was good too – they’ve won three of their last four games without conceding a goal at home and we’re predicting that will continue for our Spurs vs Huddersfield betting tips this weekend.
The best odds for Tottenham to win 3-0 are 7/1 with bet365 and that comes with their £100 in bet credits sign-up bonus for new customers.
