West Brom are unbeaten after three games, and they will be hoping to extend that run when they host Reading on Wednesday night. Slaven Bilic has got his side playing some decent football, and they are showing the credentials of promotion candidates. They came from a goal down at the weekend, to score two quickfire goals, and turn the tie on its head. If they hadn’t found a way through, it would have been completely unfair on Albion, who had been the better side throughout the contest. Grady Diangana was the star man, who was mesmeric after replacing Kyle Edwards in the second half. Filip Krovinovic was also quietly impressive in the centre of the park. They are yet to keep a clean sheet, which is slightly worrying, and they’ve looked troubled by deliveries from out wide, but it’s something that can be rectified. They had 24 shots to 8 against the Hatters, but they’re unlikely to get a similar level of domination here.

Reading were one of the biggest priced winners of the weekend when sticking three goals past Cardiff. The Royals lost their first home game of the campaign to Sheffield Wednesday, but this was the ideal response from Jose Gomes’ men. They relied on the brilliance of George Puscas, and his brace helped move them off the bottom of the Championship table. John Swift is one of the most talented midfielders in the division, and he had his best game in quite some time on Sunday. Reading were tough to beat at the Madejski last season under the Portuguese boss, and they look set to pick up the majority of their points in Berkshire. Last season, they won just two times on the road, although 11 draws probably just about helped them avoid relegation.

There is the potential for a slightly overreaction to Reading’s convincing victory on Sunday, but they are a completely different animal on the road. They were defeated 2-1 at the Kcom eleven days ago, and there could be a similar outcome in this one. West Brom do still appear to have problems at the back, but they also have plenty going forward. The Baggies should collect three points here, and they are odds-on to do so. If you’re seeking value, add in Both Teams to Score, and 9/4 is available.

Last season, WBA won 4-1 at the Hawthornes, but Reading are unlikely fall apart quite so easily this time.
