Nicklas Bendtner Struggles to score in one-on-one training at his new club

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has joined his boyhood club FC Copenhagen, but a video has emerged of him online struggling to find the back of the net in his first training session.

Bendtner famously once said: “If you ask me if I am one of the best strikers in the world, I’d say ‘yes’ because I believe it.”

Judging by the video below, the 31 year old is still no further down the line to greatness as he was 10 years ago.

On joining FC Copenhagen, Bendtner said:

“I know it is a very special opportunity and I will do everything in my power to seize it for the next four months,

“When I was 16 and left home, there was a lot I didn’t know about… 15 years later, I can honestly say that it feels even bigger than I dreamed.

“I’m not tired of football at all. I am hungry and motivated like never before.”

In the video Bendtner is trying to find the back of the net in some simple finisher drills. He hits the post with the first attempt but a few of the efforts are absolutely shocking.

Probably the worst miss is a skewed left-footed attempt that sails well wide of the target and there is also a shocking chipped effort that was going well wide.

Bentner Shirts Sold out in less than 24 Hours

In more positive news for Lord Bendtner, FC Copenhagen sold out of shirts with his name printed on the back in less than 24 hours – so the striker certainly brings a lot of fans to his new club and they’ll he hoping he can improve his finishing as he joins up with the first team.
