Bayern Munich v Eintracht Frankfurt
Lyon v Caen
Montpellier v Nantes
Real Valladolid v Valencia
Accumulator Odds – 8/1 with William Hill.
We’re betting on both teams to score score in these four European matches this weekend.
When earning a 0-0 draw earned at Leipzig last weekend, Bayern Munich failed to score a Bundesliga goal for the first time since early October and they also failed to claim the league title that day. A point claimed from this game will be sufficient to achieve that aim, but they host an Eintracht Frankfurt team needing points to qualify for next season Champions League. The visitors have faced a congested series of fixtures in recent weeks, but they have netted in every competitive away match since mid-February and will have benefitted from a midweek free from football.
Just several weeks previously, it appeared that Caen were doomed to relegation from Ligue 1, but four victories earned from late March onwards have offered real hopes of survival for the Normandy team. A 3-2 home win against Reims last weekend was a welcome return to goal scoring form and they now visit a Lyon team which has netted in every game since the beginning of March. The hosts also won 3-1 in a Coupe De France encounter between these two clubs earlier this year.
Relegation concerns were very much in evidence for Nantes during the early Spring weeks, but five successive victories secured from mid-April onwards ended those fears with Les Canaris extending their unbeaten sequence with a 1-1 draw earned at Nice last weekend. A visit to Montpellier is now awaiting and the hosts remain an outside bet for Europa League qualification next term. The Southern French team are also a capable outfit in front of goal having netted in each home match this year.
Three victories earned from their last four La Liga matches has ensured that Real Valladolid will play top-flight football next season and they have failed to net in just one of six previous fixtures. Real will hope to win a third successive game on home soil, but face a Valencia team needing the points to secure Champions League football for next term. Valencia have already netted twelve times in four competitive outings this month with six scored at Huesca in their previous away match.
