Sunderland vs Rotherham
Cheltenham vs Bradford
Leyton Orient vs Crewe
Napoli vs Liverpool
Liverpool begin the defence of their Champions League title with an away fixture at Napoli and both teams have already been among the goals this term. That clash features in this Tuesday BTTS four-fold accumulator alongside a League One clash involving a Sunderland team yet to register a clean sheet this season. League Two action is also covered as Leyton Orient host Crewe with nine goals netted in weekend matches involving those clubs while decent home outfit Cheltenham host a capable Bradford team in our midweek BTTS tips.
Despite losing just one competitive match this season when beaten 3-0 at Peterborough, Sunderland have conceded once in all other games including the opener during a 3-1 Saturday win at Accrington Stanley. The Black Cats have won four of their last five League One games prior to this home contest with a Rotherham outfit which beat troubled Bolton 6-1 at the weekend. Having netted in each of their four matches on the road this term, the Millers will also be seeking a third league victory on away soil.
Since their relegation from League One last season, Bradford have experienced a reasonable start to life in the fourth tier with just two defeats suffered. The Bantams have also netted in each of their away contests with only one loss incurred when beaten 2-1 at a decent Crewe team. Hosts Cheltenham have scored six goals in winning their last two games but they are enjoying much success at Whaddon Road where they have netted at least twice in claiming ten points from four league games.
After suffering a 3-0 home loss in their opening League Two fixture of the season, Crewe have failed to net in just one subsequent league match and were arguably unlucky losers on Saturday when beaten 3-2 on home soil by Cambridge. The Railwaymen were reduced to ten players and then claimed a 2-1 lead before a controversial late penalty condemned them to defeat. Crewe have scored twice in each of their last three games and travel to face Leyton Orient with both teams scoring in the London team’s five latest league fixtures. Three goals have been conceded by Orient in each of their last two home matches which have ended in defeats.
Despite scoring at least twice in winning their first five Premier League matches of this season, Liverpool have registered just one clean sheet and defensive frailties were exposed on Saturday. Newcastle scored the opener at Anfield in a 3-1 loss and could have scored at least one more goal but for very poor finishing. The Reds now visit Naples for this Champions League group game with hosts Napoli involved in two 4-3 Serie A scorelines this term before clinching a 2-0 home win against Sampdoria at the weekend.
