Charlton vs Leeds – Leeds Win

Leeds failed to hold onto a single goal lead last weekend against Derby and Marcelo Bielsa’s side will have been disappointed to have dropped points so late in the game. They have the chance to bounce back this weekend as they travel to face Charlton at the Valley. The Whites have an imperious record on the road, and haven’t conceded on their travels since the opening weekend of the season. They seem to cope better on their travels, and should be able to make it five wins on the spin. They’re facing a Charlton side who have lost two on the bounce and a side who have failed to find the net in each of those fixtures. They are missing Lyle Taylor, who picked up a knee injury on International duty, and the striker is sorely missed. He not only scores goals, he also runs the channels, and has set up a number of chances this season. Without him, Lee Bowyer’s men just don’t offer the same threat, and they could struggle to contain the visitors.

 

Huddersfield vs Millwall – Huddersfield Win

It may seem barking mad to back a side that are propping up the Championship table, but this is the Terriers best chance of success. Danny Cowley’s side have simply got to improve, and the former Lincoln boss (and his brother) will have been working hard in training to help Huddersfield improve in all areas of the pitch. They are hosting a Millwall side which is not a happy camp at this moment in time. Neil Harris is starting to get some abuse from the fans, despite his status as a club legend, and last weekends 2-1 home loss did not go down well with the home faithful at the Den. The Lions struggle on the road, and they’ve lost two of their last three matches away from Bermondsey. They’ve also not scored more than a single goal in a game since early April, and this could be Huddersfield’s chance to get off the mark.

 

Preston vs Bristol City – Preston Win

Preston are one of the toughest sides to beat in the Championship, and Alex Neil’s men are extremely tough to penetrate. Ben Davies and summer signing Patrick Bauer have formed a formidable partnership at the back, and they should be able to thwart the Bristol City attack. At home, Preston score goals, and they’ve netted at least two goals in each of their four home games this season. The Lilywhites don’t just rely on a single player for firepower with the majority of the squad getting their name on the score-sheet in the last few months. The Robins are also incredibly difficult to beat despite their ever-growing injury list. Benik Afobe will not feature for the remainder of the season, and this may leave them light up top. Preston are unbeaten in their last 12 meetings with Bristol City, and they can continue that excellent run of form by taking three points from this encounter on Saturday.
