Fantasy Football Tips – Four players you should be bringing in for Gameweek 20

Just because Christmas might be coming to an end, that doesn’t mean the hectic Premier League schedule is showing any signs of slowing down.

With just three days separating Gameweek 19 and 20, teams from across England’s top-flight will be looking to end 2018 on a high note.

As we officially enter the second half of this year’s season, we have taken a look at four Fantasy Football stars you should be looking to bring in for Gameweek 20:

Paul Pogba – £8million

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival giving the whole of Old Trafford a much-needed boost, one man who appears to be relishing the arrival of the Norweigan legend is the polarizing Paul Pogba.

Since Jose Mourinho’s departure earlier in the month, the French midfielder is starting to show why Manchester United invested £89million on him back in 2016.

Playing a huge part in United’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield on Boxing Day, Pogba picked up two goals and the maximum three bonus points for Fantasy Football bosses across the country.

In Solskjaer’s opening two games in charge of United, the World Cup winner has already scored two goals and picked up three assists, a total of 28 points.

In fact, Pogba managed just three goals and three assists in the opening 17 Gameweeks while Jose Mourinho was in charge.

Already the most purchased player heading into Gameweek 20, the 25-year-old should be relishing Bournemouth’s arrival on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s side have now lost their last five Premier League away matches on the bounce and are also coming off the back of a 5-0 loss away at Tottenham.

Lucas Digne – £5.1million

While Everton have suffered with their defensive record of late, left-back Lucas Digne has only seen his stock rise.

Quickly replacing Leighton Baines as Marco Silva’s first choice, the former Barcelona man is an integral part of Everton’s attack and his recent goalscoring antics should make him a very wise investment for Gameweek 20.

Now scoring three goals and picking up one assists in his last four Gameweeks, his points tally of 29 is bettered by no other defender in FPL.

Picking up 17 points in the Toffee’s 5-1 Boxing Day win at Turf Moor, only Tottenham full-back Kyle Walker-Peters picked up more points than Digne in Gameweek 19.

In possession of Everton’s set-pieces and also a constant provider for the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, Digne and co will travel to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

The Seagulls have now failed to win any of their last four Premier League appearances and haven’t recorded a clean sheet at the Amex since Gameweek 10.

Quickly becoming a Fantasy Football favourite, Everton also face a favorable run of fixtures that sees them face Leicester, Bournemouth, Southampton and Huddersfield.

PAID IN CASH – 20/1 for Liverpool to win and BTTS v Arsenal.

Felipe Anderson – £7.3million

In Felipe Anderson, West Ham and 17.5% of FPL bosses have a serious player.

Once again leading the Hammers’ turnaround and scoring both goals in their 2-1 win over Southampton on Thursday, the former Lazio man left St. Mary’s with 15 points, including the three bonus points.

Now breaking the 100 point barrier in Fantasy Football, only the midfield trio of Raheem Sterling, Eden Hazard and Mohamed Salah have recorded more than Anderson’s 101 points.

Amazingly, while we might only be at the half-way point of this year’s Premier League campaign, one more goal for the Brazilian will see him match Wilfred Zaha’s best ever top-flight return.

Now scoring seven goals in his last nine appearances, the Brazilian is averaging 9.4 points per Gameweek during December.

Looking to continue West Ham’s rise to European football and also continue his own goalscoring tally, Anderson will next face off against Burnley on Sunday.

With the Clarets coming off the back of shipping five against Everton, Sean Dyche’s side hold the second worst defensive record in the Premier League and have conceded 15 goals in their last five matches at Turf Moor.

It is also worth noting that the last time the two sides met at the London Stadium back in Gameweek 11, Anderson picked up 15 points and two goals.

Eden Hazard – £11million

Listed as a midfielder but now playing a false nine role in Chelsea’s attacking trio, it could be the perfect time for Fantasy Football bosses to get Eden Hazard back in their team.

While the Belgian international may have suffered a goalscoring draught between Gameweek nine and Gameweek 16, Hazard appears to be getting back to his best.

Scoring both of Chelsea’s goals in their 2-1 win over Watford on Boxing Day, the forward has now recorded 38 points in his last four appearances.

Now owned by 36.9% of FPL managers, only Mohamed Salah can top Hazards, 133 points this campaign.

This weekend, Chelsea will travel across London to Selhurst Park.

While Roy Hodgon’s side have recorded three consecutive clean sheets in SE25, the Eagles have famously struggled against their London rivals.

Crystal Palace have now failed to record a clean sheet against Chelsea since 1995.
