Fantasy Football Tips – The 4 stars to bring in for Gameweek 22

Premier League betting tips

With the domestic competitions starting to take shape, all attention will be turned back to the Premier League and more importantly, the FPL.

Ahead of a weekend that sees Manchester United travel to Wembley on Sunday afternoon, we have taken a look at four Fantasy Football stars you should be looking to bring in for Gameweek 22:

Marko Arnautovic – £6.9million

Although many would have been concerned to see Marko Arnautovic being withdrawn after just 20 minutes in Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Birmingham, West Ham fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

While their Austrian talisman might be linked with a potential move to China, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Arnautovic will be fit to face Arsenal on Saturday.

Returning to West Ham’s squad for Gameweek 21, the 29-year-old bagged two goals in under two minutes against Brighton last time out.

Clearly the man who could spearhead Pellegrini’s charge up the Premier League table, the Hammes’ talisman grabbed 13 points to open up his tally for 2019.

With 74 Fantasy Football points this season, only teammate Felipe Anderson can boast a better return for the East London club.

Given Arsenal’s continuing defensive issues under Unai Emery, Arnautovic should be confident of extending his tally this weekend.

Saturday’s visitors have now managed to record just a single clean sheet since Gameweek eight.

Even more worrying for the former PSG boss, the Reds have failed to record a single clean sheet away from the Emirates.

It is also worth noting that while Arsenal managed to pick up a 3-1 win over the Hammers back in October, Arnautovic did score West Ham’s only goal that afternoon.

James Tarkowski – £4.7million

While Burnley might have endured a tricky start to the season, Sean Dyche’s side are enjoying their brightest run of form entering the New Year.

Picking up a 1-0 win over Barnsley and booking their spot in the fourth round of this year’s FA Cup, there appears to be a newfound optimism in Lancashire.

Winning their last two Premier League outings on the bounce, it has been their improvements at the back which will be most impressing Dyche.

One man who has epitomized the Clarets resurge is central defender James Tarkowski.

Now linked with a potential move to Liverpool, the England international has three goals and an assist over his 18 Gameweek appearances for the Clarets.

Even more impressive, Tarkowski has produced 28 of his 58 points for the season over the last six Gameweeks.

Burnley and Tarkowski should be relishing the arrival of relegation contenders Fulham this weekend.

The Cottagers have failed to win any of their last nine away matches across all competitions.

Saturday’s visitors have also failed to find the net in five of their last seven outings away from Craven Cottage.

With his price tag at a season-low, spending £4.7million on the Burnley man could be a wise investment for Fantasy Football bosses across the country.

Andros Townsend – £5.8million

With Crystal Palace enjoying an eye-catching run of form entering the New Year, many in South London have been impressed by the recent performances of winger Andros Townsend.

Now finding the net against both Chelsea and Manchester City last month, the former Tottenham man is quickly becoming Roy Hodgson’s most reliable attacking option.

His 10 chances created over the last four Gameweeks rank third among midfielders.

Townsend’s points tally of 75 sees only teammates Luka Milivojević and Patrick van Aanholt hold a better return this season.

This weekend, Townsend and co will welcome Watford to Selhurst Park.

While the Hornets have impressed on their travels this season, Javi Garcia has been vocal about their inability to record clean sheets.

On their last away trip to Bournemouth, the Yellows shipped three goals and they have recorded just one clean sheet since Gameweek 11.

Watford have also conceded at least two goals in seven of their past nine Premier League matches.

At just £5.8million and already picking up more points than the likes of Pedro, Willian, Riyad Mahrez and Dele Alli, the now former England international could be the man to bring in for Gameweek 22.

Roberto Firmino – £9.2million

With Liverpool now losing their last two matches and their advantage at the top of the table cut to four points, Jurgen Klopp will be calling for an immediate response this weekend.

While they might be enduring their most tricky spell of the season, Liverpool’s German boss will be impressed by the form of Brazilian international Roberto Firmino.

The 27-year-old has now picked up 25 points over his last two Gameweeks and is only owned by 17.2% of Fantasy Football managers.

Already breaking the 100 point barrier this season, only strikers Harry Kane, Callum Wilson and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have recorded more points than Firmino.

Looking to refind their form, Liverpool will travel to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

Coming off the back of a 2-2 draw at West Ham in Gameweek 21, Chris Hughton’s side have not recorded a clean sheet since Gameweek 10.

The Seagulls will also be more than aware that they hold a woeful record against the title contenders.

Saturday’s hosts have failed to win any of the last eight meetings against Liverpool and have also conceded nine goals in the last three Premier League matchups.

It is also worth noting that the last time Liverpool traveled to the Amex Stadium for a Premier League fixture, Firmino left the South Coast with two goals and the Man of the Match award.
