Luton vs Millwall

This televised tie is a very interesting contest, and it could be a fairly entertaining 90 minutes. Luton beat Blackburn 2-1 at the weekend, and they looked a danger every time they ventured forward. Despite their lowly position, only four sides have scored more times this season than the Hatters. Graeme Jones’ men looked far better balanced at the weekend although they are still suceptible at the back. Only Stoke and Huddersfield have conceded more goals this season, and they could struggle under the aerial bombardment from the visitors. Millwall may have failed to score more than a single goal since early April, but they have found the net in seven of their nine Championship fixtures so far. They offer a significant threat from set-pieces, and they will be expected to get on the score-sheet once again at Kenilworth Road. Only four teams have conceded more away goals than the Lions, and they are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels.

 

Cardiff vs QPR

Cardiff were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw at the weekend, and twice came from behind to pick up a point against Hull. The Bluebirds home record has been very impressive so far, and they are yet to taste defeat in South Wales. Five of their nine games have featured three or more goals, and they come up against a lively QPR outfit, who will be desperate to bounce back from their weekend disappointment. The R’s struggled against WBA and weren’t able to create too many clearcut chances. However, Mark Warburton’s young side are likely to have off-days this campaign, and they should be more competitive in this midweek fixture. They are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road, and have netted in three of their four fixtures. They’ve scored twice against Millwall, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday and although this should be slightly tougher, they should find the net.

 

Tenerife vs Real Oviedo

We’re off to the Segunda for our third betting tip with Tenerife hosting leaky Oviedo. The visitors sit rock-bottom of the division and have conceded the joint highest amount of goals so far (15). They come off the back of a 2-2 draw with Zaragoza at the weekend, and have found the net in four of their last five competitive games. They head to Tenerife to face a side who will be full of confidence following their 4-1 hammering of Lugo at the weekend. They’re a strange team who have scored four times either side of drawing a blank, but they should find this Ovideo defence easy to breach. The last two meetings here have ended 3-1 and 2-1 to the home side, and we could see a similar outcome here.

 

Liverpool vs RB Salzburg

They should offer a real threat going forward in this contest. The Reds kept a number of clean sheets in the UCL last season, although they may come unstuck in this game. The visitors conceded twice to the Belgians in the last round, and they look far from defensively secure, so Liverpool could punish them at the other end of the field.
