Saturday’s Footy Accumulator Tips

With the exclusion of the Premier League, most of the top tiers in English and Scottish football begin their 2019-20 campaigns this weekend and Stoke are one team favoured to have a good season in the Championship. They host QPR in their first match which is featured in this Accumulator alongside Sunderland playing Oxford at the Stadium Of Light and relegated Bradford beginning life in League Two at home to Cambridge. The Scottish Premiership provides the other two selections with Hibernian and Ross County tipped to beat St Mirren and Hamilton respectively. Odds of approximately 15/1 will be available for the successful outcome of these 3 o’clock kick-offs.

Stoke vs Queen Park Rangers Betting Tip – Stoke win.

Having lost just two Championship matches from late February last season, Stoke could be one of the main contenders for promotion this term. Manager Nathan Jones has made some shrewd signings and they lost just once in pre-season when narrowly beaten by Leicester City. Visitors QPR have hired Mark Warburton as manager but they won just twice from early March onwards last term and three defeats during pre-season is not a good omen. The Potters could claim an opening day victory.

Sunderland vs Oxford Betting Tip – Sunderland win.

Despite beginning last season as promotion favourites from League One, Sunderland eventually lost the promotion playoff final. Yet the Black Cats lost just one league game at home all season when beaten 5-4 by Coventry and they have failed to net in just one league contest this year. Opponents Oxford recovered from a poor start to the last campaign by finishing in twelfth position but they failed to beat Sunderland last season at the Stadium Of Light when the hosts were reduced to ten players after just twenty minutes of action. A home win is predicted.

Bradford vs Cambridge Betting Tip – Bradford win.

After finishing at the foot of League One last season, Bradford now begin life in the fourth tier and they earned just five points on their travels from the beginning of the year. The Bantams now host a Cambridge team which won only two League Two games from mid-February onwards which included a surprise 3-0 win at promoted Bury. United flirted with relegation at one time last season and they face a difficult afternoon at Valley Parade.

Hibernian vs St Mirren Betting Tip – Hibernian win.

Just two away victories were registered by St Mirren last season as they avoided relegation by beating Dundee United on penalties in the playoff final. The Paisley based team also won just one of four ties in the recent Scottish League Cup when narrowly overcoming Edinburgh City and they may find Hibernian difficult opponents. Hibs were unbeaten during their League Cup campaign and did not concede a goal in winning their final three matches. Only one league defeat was suffered by the hosts at Easter Road from January onwards and they are expected to win this encounter.

Ross County vs Hamilton Betting Tip – Ross County win.

After claiming the Scottish Championship title last season, Ross County began the current campaign by winning all four of their League Cup ties including a 2-1 win at St Johnstone. The only visiting team to win at Dingwall last season was Dundee United back in November and County will be confident of beating Hamilton on their return to the Premiership. Accies narrowly avoided the playoffs last term and despite staying unbeaten in League Cup action, they won just two games against Clyde and Airdrie and conceded at least once in their last three contests. A home win is added to our weekend accumulator tips.
