Champions League Final 2023 Predicted Line-ups – Manchester City vs Inter Milan

Manchester City play Inter Milan in the Champions League final this weekend and we have predicted the starting line-ups for both sides as we build up to the showpiece in Istanbul. 

Pep Guardiola will have a couple of big decisions to make for his Manchester City starting line-up but we’re unlikely to see any dramatic changes like in the final against Chelsea a few years ago, where Pep played without a holding midfielder. It looks as though Guardiola will have a full squad to choose from and one of the big decisions will be whether to play Riyad Mahrez on the right wing or Bernardo Silva. Mahrez is a regular in the Champions League but Silva provides slightly better defensive cover so it’s likely he will get the nod.

In midfield, Ilkay Gundogan is set to play his last game for the club ahead of a move to Barcelona after his contract expires this summer. He is is fantastic goalscoring form and will be a popular bet in the match.

Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi will once again deploy his 3-5-2 formation but it is unlikely that Romelu Lukaku will start the match, with a front two of Lautaro Martinez and former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko seemingly the preferred option for the Italians.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could come back into the team in place of Marcelo Brozovic. Another former Manchester United player, Matteo Darmian, will be in the Inter starting line-up.
