QPR vs Brentford Prediction & Betting Tips: Goals Goals Goals in West London
The West London derby takes place on Monday night with both sides arriving in decent form. QPR have won six of their last nine games and Mark Warburton’s young side are playing without fear. Brentford have won three of their last five games and Thomas Frank’s side are beginning to put together a nice little run. It should be an entertaining 90 minutes at Loftus Road.

QPR vs Brentford Preview – 28/10/2019 Championship
Mark Warburton insists that his side ‘deserve’ to be where they are in the table. The former Rangers boss has completely turned the R’s around and has helped them climb to fifth in the Championship table. Considering that they won just one of their last 15 games prior to his arrival and lost Luke Freeman to Sheffield United in the summer, Warburton should be commended for his efforts in West London. He faces his former club on Monday night and will be determined to get one over on them.
QPR are not only picking up results, but they’re also providing plenty of entertainment along the way. In 13 games, they’ve scored and conceded 23 times and there have been 15 goals alone in their last three matches.
The likes of Ryan Manning, Nakhi Wells and Eberechi Eze have been the standout stars although the likes of Josh Scowen and Geoff Cameron have provided some much needed steel and experience in the middle of the park.
Although Thomas Frank wasn’t under a huge amount of pressure, the Dane will have been pleased to see his side finally take their chances. Brentford missed numerous chances during their first ten games although they’ve finally started to convert. Ollie Watkins has proved to be a suitable Neal Maupay replacement although the jury is still out on Mathias Jenson.
Bees fans will have been delighted to see Said Benrahma finally claim a couple of assists last weekend. He’s also grabbed his first goal of the campaign and he will surely kick on from here. Bryan Mbuemo also appears to be fulfilling his early promise and now has three goals to his name.
Monday Night Entertainment
Over 2.5 Goals has landed in 77% of QPR’s goals this season. Defending has not been their forte, although they’ve made up for it with individual brilliance at the other end of the field. West Brom are the only side to have kept them off the scoresheet here at Loftus Road and although Brentford’s defence is solid enough, they’re unlikely to keep a clean sheets.
The hosts are yet to record a shutout this campaign and with Brentford firing once again, they could find it tough to keep them out. The Bees have scored six in their last two games and had to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Millwall last weekend.
Over 2.5 Goals is short at around 8/13, however it’s 10/11 for Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score with William Hill.
Watkins to Continue his Hot Streak
There are a number of players who could find the back of the net in this encounter. Eberechi Eze has been excellent whilst Bryan Mbuemo could add to his account as well.
However, Ollie Watkins is surely the man to back at 9/5 with Unibet. He has scored eight times this season and even missed a penalty against Millwall last weekend. As well as being a decent finisher, Watkins is fairly decent in the air and will be a constant threat in this contest. With QPR yet to keep a clean sheet, the former Exeter man should get plenty of joy on Monday night.
