Ange Postecoglu has had an excellent start to life in London, and is hugely popular with fans of his new club. The Australian has brought in an attractive style of football that has Spurs sitting fourth in the league after 12 matches, just two points behind league leaders Man City. This will be a very difficult match for them, however, and I’m not fully convinced they’ll get away with all three points. Villa are just one point behind them, and have won eight of their opening 12 Premier League fixtures. Spurs have lost just one game at home this season, and Villa haven’t been great on the road, losing three of their six matches on their travels. I think this is a safe bet.

 

Both teams to score

With both teams having had an excellent start to the season, neither will want to lose this one, and neither will go down without a fight. Tottenham will be looking to create a gap on their opponents, while Villa will be looking to leapfrog Spurs into fourth. Villa have scored in 10 of their 12 Premier League fixtures this season, while Spurs have scored in all 12. Both teams will be at it from the off in this one, and I think both teams to score is a great bet.

 

Pierre Hojbjerg to be booked

Pierre Hojbjerg is known for his aggressive style of play, getting stuck in, and is partial to a yellow card or two. The Danish midfielder has picked up three yellow cards in his 11 appearances this season, making five fouls, an average of around 0.5 per game. He will be in for a tough battle in this one against the likes of John McGinn and Doulas Luiz, and I think he is good odds for a card here.
