Fantasy Football Gameweek 7 Preview, Advice and Tips

Fantasy Football tips

Gameweek 6 saw another week of twists and turns in the Premier League with three of the big six failing to win and a record-breaking victory for Manchester City. Here are our considerations for gameweek 7.

The big match this weekend comes on Monday Night Football when Manchester United host Arsenal, but before that there are plenty of Fantasy Football conundrums to work out including Liverpool’s trip to Sheffield United and Manchester City’s visit to Everton.

Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips

Serge Aurier (5.0m) is our first pick for gameweek 7. The Ivory Coast international grabbed two assists against Crystal Palace as well as helping Spurs secure their first clean sheet of the season. Aurier had a goal denied by an incredibly tight VAR call against Leicester and now faces Southampton at home.

The return of FPL cult hero, Marcos Alonso (6.2m), to Chelsea’s starting XI could provide a nice short-term option. Emerson’s ongoing injury and Alonso’s attacking threat make him an exciting choice ahead of a home fixture against Brighton.

Lucas Digne’s (6.1m) Everton have faltered of late. Since the two consecutive clean sheets to begin the campaign, The Toffees have conceded nine is four. Digne has provided two assists in the opening six weeks but with Manchester City up next, it may be time to avoid the French fullback.

Midfielders Tips

Averaging fewer than two points a game thus far, Ayoze Perez (6.1m) is a bold pick. Leicester’s new signing was denied an assist by a VAR decision but looked lively for the best part of an hour. With his former club, Newcastle, up next, this could be the perfect opportunity for Perez to get off the mark.

Ranked top amongst midfielders, Kevin de Bruyne (9.8m) has hit the ground running this season. His incredible display against Watford saw the Belgian accumulated 17 points. A leaky Everton defence awaits KDB, who will no doubt add to his 9 attacking returns so far.

It’s fair to say Todd Cantwell (5.0m) has been a surprise package this season. Nonetheless, he is best avoided this week. All four of his attacking returns have come at home with Norwich scoring only once away this season. Cantwell faces a Crystal Palace side who have conceded just twice in three home games.

Forwards Tips

Seven goals in three games prior to facing Liverpool has made Tammy Abraham (7.4m) a popular choice. Facing Brighton at Stafford Bridge is a great opportunity for the Chelsea forward to add to his impressive tally.

Chris Wood (6.2m) bagged a brace against Norwich in gameweek 6. These were his first competitive goals since April and he now faces a trip to Villa Park where Aston Villa have kept two clean sheets in three games already. The Kiwi striker is not worth the risk.

Thatsagoal Fantasy Football Team

Here is how our team looks for Gameweeek 7. It was a really strong week last weekend including a big stroke of look with Sterling handing the captains armband to Kevin De Bruyne, as well as big scores for Otamendi and Lundstram in defence.
