Shrewsbury vs Swindon – BTTS

A 1-0 midweek EFL Trophy win at Forest Green offered some consolation to Swindon after a recent 4-2 loss at Plymouth and then suffering a 2-1 FA Cup home defeat by National League North team Darlington. The Robins have also struggled in League One since promotion last term especially in registering clean sheets, although they have claimed 3-1, 4-2 and 2-1 victories. A visit to Shrewsbury now beckons with the hosts failing to score just once in league action on home soil this term. However, the Shrews can also be generous in defence as their lowly position testifies.

Carlisle vs Cheltenham – BTTS

After claiming five successive League Two victories at Brunton Park this season, Carlisle can be considered a powerful home team especially when netting three goals in each of their last three wins at the venue. Both teams scored in those encounters and Cheltenham will also hope to breach the Cumbrian’s defence. The Robins have failed to net in just one league fixture this term while registering three victories on the road, but they have lost their last two away games via 2-1 margins.

Colchester vs Leyton Orient – BTTS

Elimination from the FA Cup on penalties last weekend by non-league team Marine was a blow for Colchester but they now resume League Two action unbeaten on home soil this term. Both teams have also scored in seven of the last eight league fixtures featuring the U’s and weekend visitors Leyton Orient are also a reliable team in front of goal. The East London outfit have scored in all but one league encounter this season, but they have conceded two or more goals in five league games.

Oldham vs Scunthorpe – BTTS

Two current League Two bottom six teams meet at Boundary Park with hosts Oldham proving to be reliable in front of goal in recent weeks but equally porous in defence. The Latics have yet to register a clean sheet in league action but have earned three 2-1 victories since mid-October, and they now welcome a Scunthorpe outfit which lost five successive league games last month with fifteen goals conceded. A 3-2 FA Cup weekend home loss against Solihull was another blow for the Iron.
