Brighton vs West Ham United Match Preview

West Ham faced champions Manchester City in last Saturday’s early kick-off. It was a difficult to start to the league campaign, suffering a 5-0 loss. Despite the heavy defeat, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the East Londoners. West Ham showed some attacking threat in the early stages and kept the scoreline respectable until the second half. Being picked apart by Manchester City will not shape the rest of their season and it will be a fresh start come Saturday.

Brighton started their league campaign remarkably well. A surprising 3-0 away win against midtable side Watford marked a good start to Graham Potter’s reign. The Seagulls equaled their biggest ever away win in the Premier League thanks to Potter’s positive tactics. At 1-0 up, Brighton substituted attacking pair, Glenn Murray and Jurgen Locadia for two other strikers, Florin Andone and Neal Maupay. The oncoming pair each scored to see out the victory in style.

What are the Brighton vs West Ham Betting Tips today?

Brighton may have kept a clean sheet away at Watford, but the Hornets had a few opportunities to score. Matt Ryan was in excellent form and will need to be up to the task yet again against a strong West Ham Attack. Despite failing to score in their game, we’re backing The Hammers to get off the mark here. Both teams to score is priced at 3/4.

West Ham posess plenty of attacking threat in their front four and should against an attacking Brighton side still adjusting to a new system. Brighton’s wingbacks may take some time to adjust to their new roles and West Ham have the likes of Michael Antonio and Felipe Anderson out wide.

We predict goals for both sides but think these are two well-matched sides at this stage of the season, especially with Brighton’s home advantage. We’re backing Draw/Over 1.5 in the match result and over 1.5 goal market at 10/3.
