Wednesday’s Premier League Predictions – Liverpool vs Newcastle, West Ham vs Spurs & Bournemouth vs Wolves

Premier League betting tips

After four games on Tuesday, we’re back to find the best three bets for the five games this Wednesday evening in the Premier League.

West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction

SPURS TO WIN AND OVER 2.5 GOALS – 2/1 with Coral

Tottenham Hotspur have continued to prove their worth at the top end of the Premier League after a comfortable 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest led by Harry Kane.

The England captain has now moved up to third in the all-time top scorer list in the Premier League and now level with Andy Cole on 187 goals in the top flight. Kane also missed a penalty in the midst of scoring twice against Forest, but once again, Antonio Conte’s Spurs were excellent from start to finish.

Hugo Lloris was called upon a few times in the game, but in truth, it was a comfortable three points for the away side at the City Ground. Against West Ham United, Conte will be licking his lips at a victory in another London derby with the Hammers only just winning in the Premier League against Aston Villa as Pablo Fornals scored towards the end of the game. However, with Villa having more shots on target than West Ham, questions about the club’s defence continue and you can bet on Tottenham to win with the Coral £20 sign-up offer.

Spurs should win here, and just like 11 of the past 14 fixtures between Spurs and West Ham, I expect over 2.5 goals in the game.

Liverpool vs Newcastle Prediction

LIVERPOOL TO WIN, OVER 3.5 GOALS AND SALAH TO SCORE – 3/1 with bet365

Liverpool have their biggest Anfield test of the season in the Premier League, but after registering their greatest win in the competition’s history, there’s absolutely no reason for the Kop to be fearful of Newcastle United.

The Magpies were unfortunate not to grab all three points in the end against Wolverhampton Wanderers, because despite trailing for much of the game, Allan Saint-Maximin’s tremendous equaliser was met with a few more efforts from him and Eddie Howe’s attackers.

Liverpool, however, bounced back in record-breaking style from their loss at Old Trafford. A brace from Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz, as well as goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Harvey Elliot and Fabio Carvalho, forced a 9-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Newcastle have also not beaten the Reds since 2015, with their best results coming in a 2-2 draw at Anfield in 2016 and a 1-1 draw on Merseyside two seasons back. Howe’s men are also seeing more goals this season with six scored and four let in, while I also expect Mohamed Salah back amongst the goals after not getting one in the 9-0 victory last weekend.

Bournemouth vs Wolves Prediction

WOLVES TO WIN AND UNDER 2.5 GOALS – 10/3 with bet365

After losing another lead at home to Newcastle, Wolves are still winless and sit alongside Everton and Leicester as the only clubs yet to bag all three points in a game so far.

This now means Bruno Lage’s men are sitting 19th, and after leading against Leeds United on the opening weekend, Wolves have led two of their four Premier League games so far and gone on to drop points in both.

What’s more concerning for Wolves, however, is that they are once again struggling to score goals. Ruben Neves’ excellent strike against Newcastle was just the second goal of the season for the club, but against a Bournemouth side without a manager, they’ll be confident in finally winning.

Scott Parker was sacked after the 9-0 loss to Liverpool, but the Cherries at least have a win on their record so far. I think this all points to a low-scoring affair at the Vitality Stadium, where Wolves should finally get a win with their decent defence.
