Huddersfield looking to restore pride after equalling Premier League record

Brendan Rodgers targeting 7th place finish

Leicester looking for fourth win in a row whilst Huddersfield looking fourth win all season

Huddersfield vs Leicester Preview and Betting Odds

In their short two year stint, Huddersfield have managed to make Premier League history, relegated with six games to go. Only Derby County in 2008 have managed to do as bad when they finished with 11 points. It gets worse for the Terriers as there are reports that their fairly new manager Jan Siewert has lost the confidence of his senior players.

Leicester on the other hand have been in great form since former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers took over. Despite losing away to Watford in his first match, he has got his team going, winning every game since. If Manchester City are to win the FA Cup, which is fairly likely, it means 7th place will become the 3rd Europa League spot. The Foxes currently sit three points behind the current occupiers Wolves. A win here would keep the pressure on and give Leicester a great shot at finishing 7th. Something that would be a great achievement for the club.

Huddersfield vs Leicester Betting Tip

Huddersfield have only scored seven home goals all season. A truly terrible record. It is hard to even consider putting a goal based bet on them, so we will focus on Leicester. Rodgers has got them playing in their direct style that won them the league back in 2016. Jamie Vardy was not in favour of previous manager Claude Puel, but has found himself back to his best since the managerial change, scoring four in his last four games.

Another man who has been brilliant recently is James Maddison. Many England fans were disappointed when the 22 year old wasn’t included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championship qualifiers and understandably so. The youngster has had a great first season in the Premier League, returning six goals and six assists.

My goalscorer bet for this game is Jamie Vardy to score anytime. As I stated earlier, he is in fantastic form and will look to add to Huddersfield’s misery. You can get Vardy to score anytime at 6/5 with bet365.

Huddersfield vs Leicester Correct Score Prediction – Leicester to win 2-0 @ 15/2

The release of pressure for Huddersfield no longer being in a relegation fight may come of aid to them, although I do find it unlikely that it will change the levels of their performance. As I have stated earlier, I can only see this game going one way and that is with the three points going back to Leicester. Huddersfield have lost a total of 12 times at home this season, and I expect that to rise to 13 at the end of Saturday.

I predict that it will be a comfortable 2-0 win for the Foxes. You can get this at 15/2 and that’s the last of our Huddersfield vs Leicester betting tips.
