Cheltenham vs Leyton Orient Predictions

Cheltenham continued their excellent form in midweek with an impressive away win at Brunton Park. That narrow success kept the Robins in the play-offs and they’ll be aiming to pick up their third win in four outings on Saturday.

They’ve suffered just two defeats at home so far this season with only Plymouth and FGR leaving here with maximum points. The hosts are one of the highest-scoring home sides in the division and have netted 7 times in their last three games here.

Leyton Orient have found some form and it’s helped them move away from the relegation zone. The O’s have won three of their last five matches in L2, although they’ve won just twice on the road since mid-October.

They’ve kept just three clean sheets on their travels this season and may just be edged out here.

Betting tip for Cheltenham vs Leyton Orient – Over 1.5 Cheltenham Goals – 1/1

What score will Cheltenham vs Leyton Orient be? 2-1  – 7/1.

Grimsby vs Morecambe Predictions

Both Grimsby and Morecambe have benefitted from a change of manager this season and they each arrive at Blundell Park in decent form. The Mariners became one of just a handful of sides to win in Essex this season as they beat Colchester 3-2 on Tuesday night. Grimsby have now scored 18 times since Ian Holloway arrived in Lincolnshire and they now look far more threatening going forward.

Having scored nine times in their last four matches, the hosts are likely to be dangerous opposition for any side and they will fancy their chances of beating the strugglers this weekend.

Morecambe picked up three points and kept a clean sheet in midweek. That victory over Macclesfield gave their survival hopes a significant boost and they have now suffered just two defeats in their last eight.

Despite suffering three defeats from four on the road, they have scored in three of those losses so backing BTTS is worth consideration.

Betting tip for Grimsby vs Morecambe – BTTS – 17/20

What score will Grimsby vs Morecambe be? 3-1  – 14/1.

Oldham vs Forest Green Predictions

Dino Maamria’s side have been defeated in back-to-back away games, however, very little was expected of them as they travelled to face high-flying duo Crewe and Exeter. At home, they’ve put three past both Bradford and Mansfield in recent weeks and with just five home losses this season, they won’t be easy to play against.

They will be without David Wheater for this tie and that is unlikely to help matters at the back. However, the form of Jonny Smith is hugely encouraging and they always look a threat going forward.

Forest Green have gone to pieces in recent weeks and suffered another defeat in midweek despite the opposition ending the contest with nine men. FGR have picked up just a single point from 18 and despite playing nine times in 2020, they’ve won just once.

Betting tip for Oldham vs FGR – Oldham win – 7/4

What score will Oldham vs FGR be? 3-2  – 33/1

Plymouth vs Crewe Predictions

Fourth placed Plymouth picked up another superb win in midweek as they continued their quest to bounce straight back to League One. The Pilgrims have suffered just a single defeat in eight and look particularly handy at Home Park. The loan signing of Ryan Hardie is proving to be a savvy move and the Scot has looked very effective in recent weeks.

They’ve suffered just two home defeats this season with only high-flying duo Cheltenham and Swindon have left here with three points.

Crewe make the long trip to Devon off the back of a last gasp home victory against Crawley in midweek. The Railwaymen are very effective on their own patch, but have struggled on the road and can’t seem to keep clean sheets outside of Cheshire.

They’ve won just one of their last five away games and haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road since the end of Nov.

Betting tip for Plymouth vs Crewe – Plymouth win – 29/20

What score will Plymouth vs Crewe be? 2-1  – 15/2

Swindon vs Scunthorpe Predictions

Swindon retained their lead at the top of the table in midweek with a hard fought victory over Northampton. Even when below their best, the Robins are grinding out victories and that is the sign of a good side. They are back at the County Ground this weekend and will be expected to pick up three points.

They’ve won eight of their last nine matches at this venue and look formidable in front of their own fans. Richie Wellens’ side have firepower in abundance and they’ve scored eight in their last three.

Scunny are still under temporary management at the time of writing and with three defeats in their last four, they’re struggling form. They still sit a little close to the bottom of the L2 table and need to start picking up points.

Betting tip for Swindon vs Scunthorpe – Swindon win – 8/11

What score will Swindon vs Scunthorpe be? 2-0  – 15/2

Stevenage vs Salford Predictions

It’s been a season to forget for Stevenage and the Hertfordshire side look destined for the National League. The bottom club have lost five in a row and have conceded at least two goals in each of those games.

They’ve also scored just a single goal in their last four home matches and are struggling to create clear cut chances.

It’s been an underwhelming campaign for Salford, who are unlikely to trouble the play-offs this season. They’ve won just two of their last six games, but have suffered just a single goal during that sequence. Too many draws have prevented them from mounting a serious top seven challenge this season although the addition of James Wilson looks like a savvy one.

Betting tip for Stevenage vs Salford – Salford win – 6/5

What score will Stevenage vs Salford be? 0-2  – 17/2
